UT and OU to SEC in 2024

so $100 mil to the Big12..
$20 mil of that goes to FOX
UT/ou will not receive the full share of revenue year 1 in the SEC.. Guess that's where the money is coming from.
Dodd is reporting it's $100 million, plus money or games to Fox.

Actually a pretty solid job of lowkey trolling everybody by the SEC offices.

Three different 'Tigers'. Now three different crimson & white teams. Shit must be confusing.

yeah i think that's going to be the way on how the new schedule works.. UT will be playing ou, arkansas and aggy as the three permanent games every season

i gotta get my money back up once i'm done with this Quinceanera in June for my oldest daughter. I'm gonna go ahead and order 2 season tickets for '24
I don't have a preference who wins but as an over 50 lifetime Texas resident just glad to have UT vs A&M back.

Are you more or less Mexican than @moxie?
Enough that I enjoy one of these every Saturday post soccer game with my youngest chica

The point being they could cancel our 2024 game and 4 years later we go to College Station. That means it would have been 16 years since ATM came into the SEC that we finally played them at their place. That's absurd. I'll take my 2024 game, then every 4th year @ their place.
lol you'll take that one trip and won't ever do it again.. sorry @fordman84

Hopefully they are NOT that inflexible.

I've written a lot about it. The most recent thing I am reading is that the SEC isn't going to do that until ESPN agrees to increase the revenue. In other words, they will float divisions, which means less good games, and then go to ESPN and tell them they will go to a 9-6-3-3 format, but ESPN has to pony up the money for the way increased inventory.

Should they stay with divisions for a year or two, everything I've seen moves Mizzou to the West, OU and UT to the West, Bama and Auburn to the East:

E - UGA, UF, AU, UA, USCjr, UTjr, KY, VU
W - LSU, OM, MSU, Arky, Mizzou, ATM, OU, UT

Sorry, but the east would be way better than the west in that scenario. But it will be short lived, if at all.

That is the other option and it keeps most of the "historical" rivalries and even renews some.

I’m glad y’all are excited, but to me, this fucking sucks. 14 teams is too many for a conference. I would have rather kept the home and homes that were scheduled against Oklahoma and Texas.

I'm a refined one.. shoot Modelos are down the list for me as far as Mexican Beers. Dos XX, Pacifico, Tecate, Estrella are my 4 go to beers

What are you talking about? You finally get to play EVERYONE.. which means with the new scheduling, you would have finally played aggy more than once and actually play them on the rd.
It will be an underrated rivalry...

State of Texas doesn't exist without the work of native Tennesseans. Texas is pretty much a colony of Tennessee :).
Bro your guys lost :(

The best format to me is all 12 team conferences with 8 game conference schedules and a mandatory minimum of two P5 OOC games every year. You’re still playing all your conference foes fairly regularly that way, and the OOC isn’t gonna be Georgia Tech and two cupcakes every year. The high profile OOC games are the most exciting for me, and this pretty eliminates them

lol you mean you have to sacrifice a game like UAB or the Citadel to play Michigan st instead? 9 game conference schedule is where it's at and with the expanded CFP.. playing another good program OOC is not going to hurt you if you lose

I will be there. If you are going -- get there early and if you like tailgating, the golf course is where you want to be. If that is filled -- the high school lot is next.
wait...we tailgating?
