It's just a little Dijon mustard in the sauce. It's really good.Mustard is dookie. I’ll pass.
That doesn’t sound bad depending on what else is in the sauce. I like mustard based BBQ sauce. I thought it was that bright yellow mustard put on a steakIt's just a little Dijon mustard in the sauce. It's really good.
Who ruins steak by covering it in black pepper, enough to make a "crust"?? friggin mo-ronz thats who!! pffffffffftBasically a pepper steak with some kind of sauce. Lots of black pepper to make a crust.
The rest of the sauce is beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, brandy, onions and mushrooms. That doesn’t sound bad depending on what else is in the sauce. I like mustard based BBQ sauce. I thought it was that bright yellow mustard put on a steak
It's fancy and drops panties, bech!Who ruins steak by covering it in black pepper, enough to make a "crust"?? friggin mo-ronz thats who!! pffffffffft
Doesn’t sound too bad. I’d eat it if someone else cooked itThe rest of the sauce is beef broth, red wine, Worcestershire sauce, brandy, onions and mushrooms.
No it's not fancy. it's indicative of someone who doesn't know how to season and cook a steak properly. It overpowers the entire steak. Blasphemous. SMHIt's fancy and drops panties, bech!
Ya, but it's a tenderloin which is flavorless af anyway. No it's not fancy. it's indicative of someone who doesn't know how to season and cook a steak properly. It overpowers the entire steak. Blasphemous. SMH
Yeah, I've never been a big fan of peppercorn steaks. Just a little much for me.Who ruins steak by covering it in black pepper, enough to make a "crust"?? friggin mo-ronz thats who!! pffffffffft
I don't know that I'd go that far, but other steaks definitely have more. I still like filets from time to time, though. I think it's the right steak to serve with surf and turf, and I also like them served with béarnaise and bordelaise sauces. Decadent!Ya, but it's a tenderloin which is flavorless af anyway.

Well, I wasn't trying to completely disprove his point. I just said I wouldn't go as far as to call them flavorless.![]()
Kinda proving the milkshake's point that they are flavorless without quite a bit of help.
Okay so season it, PROPERLY. dont smother the hell out of it with black pepper "crust" i tried that shit once, worst experience eating steak ever.Ya, but it's a tenderloin which is flavorless af anyway.
Nope, wrong guy lol you're thinkin of @Red_AlertYeah, I've never been a big fan of peppercorn steaks. Just a little much for me.
BUT, just so I can attempt to keep everything straight around here, aren't you the guy who was calling a charcuterie board "Lunchables?"
For my what? My dog? My neighbor? It's a fantastically small wiener, so I hope you have lots of sides to go with it because it's hardly a meal on its own, let alone being enough to ask for a second serving.Well, I wasn't trying to completely disprove his point. I just said I wouldn't go as far as to call them flavorless.
If I'm serving them in surf and turf, I just use garlic, pepper and a little soy. Basically the same way I season strips, skirts and ribeyes, but swap the soy for salt.
Don't question my culinary chops. I'm an awesome cook. So good, in fact, that I'll cook your own dick for your and you'll like it so much, you'll ask for seconds.
It's not my favorite either and I agree the pepper can be too much, particularly if it's coarse cracked and smushed the fuck in like they say yer supposed to.Okay so season it, PROPERLY. dont smother the hell out of it with black pepper "crust" i tried that shit once, worst experience eating steak ever.
Nice mouth feel, but that's about it.I don't know that I'd go that far, but other steaks definitely have more. I still like filets from time to time, though. I think it's the right steak to serve with surf and turf, and I also like them served with béarnaise and bordelaise sauces. Decadent!
gimme modest amount of salt, pepper, and butter and ill take any cut of steakIt's not my favorite either and I agree the pepper can be too much, particularly if it's coarse cracked and smushed the fuck in like they say yer supposed to.
I don't mind a half-assed smush, but 99 out of 100 times, I will take a different cut of meat altogether.
