Way Too Early 2025 CFP Prediction

Just giving the BYEs to the top 4 is the obvious fix. This prevents meh teams from stealing BYEs because of conferences taking a complete shit like the ACC and Big 12 this year.

They might as well just go to 16 and do away with BYEs all together. I think we likely see that within 5 years.

If they just end up giving it to the top 4 you can practically kiss tough ooc games in the SEC and B1G goodbye. The risk is far too high.

This is what you get with these gigantic conferences. The unbalanced schedules. You're gonna get Indiana type teams who are able to bust out 10/11 win seasons because they just got the luck of the draw when it comes to scheduling. Is it "fair" to punish them for that is the debate.
Or should they be rewarded for the weaker schedule?

I'm putting Nebraska into the 2025 CFP as a sleeper.

It's year 3 for Rhule, he's made some important coordinator changes, their schedule sets up well with the toughest games in Lincoln (other than @ Penn St), they dodge Oregon and Ohio St in the regular season.

10-2 is possible.

"Ohio" is still playing THIS year. scUM is not.
Uh congrats. This thread is about next year. No need for the (" ")'s. Your own fan base cheers on Ohio every game, right? Now you aren't Ohio? O-H..........

I-O. First smart thing youve said on here.

At this time next year, it will probably be the same.

Spelling out the state is not the same as "cheering on Ohio"

Spelling out the name of a state at a football game makes zero sense. If there was less than zero, that is what it would be.

It'd be like Michigan State having a Michigan cheer. Or Florida State having a Florida cheer. I'd hope you get the idea.

Not sure about tosu..

But Texas will lose another 13 to the draft.. However the talent will still be there for another run, depending on some development in key areas.

Arch Manning in his first season as a starter, but will have the return of CJ Baxter at RB.. Wisner also returns. On the OL, Banks, Majors and Cam are gone.. however Goosby has done well in the past 4 games filling in for Banks and Cam.. Baker, Neto, Roberson will fill in some positions.

DL questionmark is at DT, CB and Safety.. But they have some really talented kids in those areas.

I expect another CFP appearance
Nobody is going to argue that Texas doesn’t have talented kids on the bench. My point is they are on the bench. If everyone works out
In September Texas can be 1 or 2 seed. I don’t hunk that is likely. I would guess that both OSU and Texas are teams you want to play in September/early Oct. Probably don’t want to see them after that. That means there are probably 1-2 losses on the schedule and more like 5-12 seed. Possible it takes a little longer and they both sweating that cut line

All i'm saying is someone in his life makes bad decisions, and Quinn listens to them. Or at least did.
Based on who he is in year 3, he probably made the right moves collecting NIL.. I don’t see him doing much more than holding a clipboard in the NFL

They 100% aren't getting rid of the stipulation that only conference champs can get BYEs, they absolutely want conference title games still to really matter, take that stipulation away and it definitely takes away from the CCGs. If they did that this year the B1G and SEC title games REALLY would not have mattered as much because all 4 teams woulda gotten BYEs anyway.
I think make the 1st 2 rounds home games would make these playoffs better. Then you can do the BS Bowl game nonsense for the final 4. (Really need to just cut the cord on bowls. Sucks for the Rose, but the rest are nonsense)

It makes sense at OSU. They are trying to educate their fans

Everyone of their fans spell it out, they spell it out at every game, they spell it out at their pep rallies. Then if you call them Ohio, they get bent ouf of shape.

I guess people in Ohio go to football games to cheer on the state of Ohio.

And you're still pissed about it after all these years.

Pretty sure Florida State spells out Florida in their fight song

For all the crying and griping surrounding to the seed placement and current format, based on the in season results Boise should have been the 3, Arizona State the 4, and Clemson the 12 as those particular conference champions. That said, I’m in agreement with multiple other posters in that the format needs to be re-evaluated and re-adjusted, but again, based on the current format that the committee was operating under, they absolutely got those three teams seeded correctly.

Trying to defend such an asinine cheer is wild. You aren't Ohio. You have a school in your state that is Ohio. That's why people laugh at you for doing it.

Pissed? About what? I didn't use quotes around Ohio.

I have no problem calling you guys exactly what your fans do.
Yes, we all know you're desperate to join the Ohio State bandwagon. That's also been clear all these years.
