Wednesday...Get Over It!

What u bench bro

225 right now. Took me a long time to get back to 185 after surgery. Can’t imagine ever going over 265-275 again but we’ll see.

Just a fan of good music. What do you listen to, Slipknot?
If you say so.

I'm a big fan of Elton John's old stuff, but putting new lyrics on his old hits in a lazy bid to stay relevant has been his schtick for decades and it doesn't impress me.

They aren't bad songs, but they're nothing I'd ever seek out. They're no different that having some chubby British kid play Kevin McCallister.

Good stuff

At 210 myself but working towards the 225 that the combine is measured at and being able to do it to the low end RB level

After that I'm tapping out and shedding some pounds

I wouldn’t watch a Home Alone remake with fat people, but that chick has a sexy voice and the song is chill. So I like it.

🤷‍♂️

I'm happy for you. My wife and daughters really like that song too.

Ive been putting real effort into my weight. At a strong 200 now. Feel 225. Deads, squats and shoulder press are all at or near my personal best weighing 225-240 ish. Went through a long power lifting stage. Years. Converted to a body building routine. Got really lean and now I’m working on building my power back up. In a good place w it.

Do you do flys? Dips? Try adding in a new exercise and sub it every other week for incline or something. Arnold was big on shocking the muscle groups when trying to hit a new pb.

Good shit man

I was just telling the wife at 41 the weight doesn't really phase my muscles it's the joints and back it affects. And I know pushing further would only make that worse. My left elbow and lower back all day man

Old.

Lol

Did a couple sets of fly's and dips both today but full disclosure I've not done a lot of dips lately

Right now I'm listening to the Clapton/Winwood live from MSG album.

Im 47 now and mostly training for longevity. To me that means staying light (190-200), focusing more on my waistline than deadlift max. I definitely have some pain. The right arm can get very sore after a workout. I go through phases w lower back pain. Seems like I have less now that I’ve been doing a bunch of cable exercises and not just deadlifting as much as I can. I can’t describe the elbow/arm pain in the two years before that bitch finally popped (at the gym too lol). I couldn’t throw a football. I thought I had nerve damage it was so bad. Turns out it was just a supremely damaged tendon on its last legs.

Sounds dead on. I'm at 195 or so which for me is heavy but for someone that's lifted a lot I'm sure that's light. But yea I just want to be in decent shape...that's it.

I'm prob around a 15 to 17 body fat. When I was going hard even five years ago I was in single digits on that. It's a long road..

But I changed my approach this time and didn't worry as much on cutting fat right away
