Wednesday Morning with an NBA game tonight

not sure you know what a "Karen" is...

I did not speak to their manager.
Are you sure about that? Maybe the manager reviews their Twitter feedback. You probably got some young kid just starting off in life fired and sent them on a life-long tailspin.

our league also dropped from 12 teams to 7 this year because of retirements. That's just insane to me.
We had a full 36 teams and a waiting list 15-20 years ago.

Now about 25, with open holes/no opponent some nights.

Yeah I mailed in my passport to get renewed about a month ago... They just cashed my check yesterday... Very slow I see... Wasn't expecting it to be back quickly but yikes that's a long time to wait to cash it...

doubt it

they get their facts from listeners

they must not have reviewed today's fact enough to realize that there is a game today...or I missed that they said there was an NBA game today

I am still waiting for mine as well

I knew it was a long turn around time pre-covid anyway but it appears that it is even longer now. I am not planning a trip anytime soon where I'd need it and I do have that Real ID license anyway so I a good but I would like to get it back soon

I do find it interesting that pretty much every private business has figured out how to get shit done during this pandemic, but governmental functions have essentially ground to a halt. Nothing gets done.

Not only have they figured out how to get things done, it has been figured out how to get them done even more economical and more efficiently

I wouldn't go that far.

Considering supply chains are completely fucked right now

Yeah, that is a good point.. Not everything is going that well.. I stand corrected. It is very strange how supply chains have faltered for some reason...

A 14 mile hike is pretty impressive. Good job.
Especially after a day of work. Our first day at Zion we put in 10-11 miles and it took a solid 4-5 hours.

He must've been very sleepy after that.

We've been spending the last quarter century (more?) trying to be as efficient and "lean" as possible.

So when you have labor consistency issues, coupled with massive shifts in consumer activity and some weather issues, it's really not that strange.

Damn you and your sound logic!

Even after experiencing all this, I got an email from someone in corporate the other day bitching about having excess material on the books.

Work is having me fill out new W4s as a telecommuter.

I don't get why.
Because some telecommuters end up working from another state (especially with a company located on a state border). Probably easier to have all telecommuters fill out a new W-4 than go through the process of checking with each individual employee about primary work space.

Not to mention then you are signing/attesting to your primary workspace and any tax liability for lying about it is on you and not your employer.

People probably realized during the pandemic that some of those leagues aren't that fun. Mr. Kobe "retired" from league because after a year without it he realized he liked going out with friends, me, or alone better than the rigidity of the league.

We just found out someone on staff moved to another fucking country and was working remotely from there. That person no longer has access to our systems.

So Ill is on the east coast but follows central time?
