Close game, close rankings. Sounds about rightSo Oregon and Ohio State are ranked right by each other but both have Ohio State, who lost to Oregon at home, ranked above Oregon.
Cincinnati too low.

They should be getting first place votes at this point
Meh...best team in Ohio for sure, but I don't know about the Nation.
Iowa or Penn State will drop next week. I guarantee it.Cincinnati too low.
Miscues have really hurt Iowa St. At this point of the season, they have out gained all of their opponents including:Food for thought:
The rankings are relevant for one reason only: EXPOSURE for the Top 25 ranked teams (highlights on SC, etc.)
Iowa State was ranked #14 before they lost @ Baylor by 2 points. Plenty of highlights of that game were shown. The Cyclones missed a FG in that game - which was one of the little things that cost them the game. Moreover, that loss dropped them to (2-2) and out of the ranking into the others receiving votes category.
This week, they throttled Kansas 59-7 to raise their record to (3-2) and did not receive a single VOTE. They looked great, but since they were not ranked, the highlights were not shown nationally. Ergo, no votes for Iowa State, even though they played like the team they were expected to be this season.
I'm not arguing that they should be ranked (they shouldn't be with two early losses), but a missed FG 2 weeks ago @ Baylor is literally the difference in Iowa State being a (4-1) fringe Top 10 team and not receiving a single vote as a (3-2) team this week! That is just a wacky swing!
The good news is that an idle week off of chaos on 10/09, a win @ Kansas State on 10/16 and a win over Oklahoma State @ JTS on 10/23 should be enough to get them ranked again for the home-stretch.
It's Brocktober.
Let's Go State!

i couldn't help but laugh at that.So Oregon and Ohio State are ranked right by each other but both have Ohio State, who lost to Oregon at home, ranked above Oregon.
Tosu loses at home to a team that lost to Stanford. Hasn’t beat anyone of note. Is ranked #7.
Texas lost to a pretty good Arky team. Beat a then ranked and otherwise undefeated ULALA. Is ranked #21
