i'm hearing less and less rants about how the expanded playoff is not needed and it's dumb takes :)

I am wondering if they continue with the 6 conference champions now that the pac is folding. That was meant to ensure a G5 got in but now it will give you 2 (3 for those that don't want to call what remains of the B12 a P5)

not sure how it will work but I'm assuming 5 champion spots and 6 at large?

theyve already had announcements out that for now things will stay the same.

Curious what they said? If one of your 6 league champs aren't ranked, do they go deeper into rankings?

With the realignment and the PAC folding I feel like it would have a much better chance of happening.

i mean 14 and 15 were the only ones with exactly 6. so 16 and 17 along with the 5 i gave here had 7 or more meaning less likely it would be a struggle for 6
in 23 we are at power 5 leaders in the top 6. MW, AAC and Sun Belt leaders all ranked and CUSA leader at 27 in the AP

I’m lookin forward to the expansion TBH. Gonna make the middle of the road regular season games more interesting.
Won’t affect the champion imo, but it’ll be a nice feather in the cap for some of the second tier programs/teams.

Think how more important your game with Mizzou would have been. The loser is eliminated, while the winner has a good chance of going to the CFP. It's those games that a lot of people missed when they argued regular season games would lose meaning.
