Damn, moving to the NFL.

I expected Chip would only be around a year or two anyways. Day needs to get a real OC though. I'd hate to seem him make some meh hire whos only the "Offensive Coordinator" in title only with Day really making most of the play calls again.

I like this.

Read something that he seems to have reinvented himself as a run game guru....I want us to run the ball more....

Go Raiders!!!!

welp there goes our quality win come labor day weekend.. I'll just have to listen and read tagged tweets how we are playing trash reigning champions again...

You know, all the good players gone.. coordinators gone.. well maybe ppl will view it as a good win since Day is still there?

I don't expect us to win the national title again but we will at least make the playoff. This isn't a Michigan situation with a walk-on QB/Orji and shit WRs rolling out there.

Best two players in the country returning

Damn. They might never beat Michigan. I was a little worried we woke up chip Kelly. But alas. Lol.

Ohio St’s rebuild is a 9-10 win season unlike that other team that won a tainted title. Expectations will still be extremely high.

That being said, it’s all going to depend on how good Sayin is..it will be his first career start.

I think Sayin will be a very good QB by the time the season is over, it's a rough first start but he does have Smith and Tate to throw to, also I suspect Max Klare will be a very good security blanket for him at TE in those early games.

IMO he will definitely be better than McCord was out of the gate his season as a starter, my real concern is our running game, it's a big drop off from this years RBs. I like what Donaldson can bring to the table but everything after him is a unknown.

Texas loses a good amount too though, I like how their fans act like they are bringing like 10 starters back on both sides of the ball and this game is a slam dunk.

Arch Manning still has a lot to prove too, he did his job in the real run playing time he got earlier in the year but that was against all bums.

Let's look back a few years ... I may be off on some of this as I don't follow all these teams closely:

2019 LSU - lost the OC and DC left, plus Brady.
2020 Bama - lost OC Sark, RB, ST, CB, and OL coaches.
2021 UGA - lost DC Lanning, OL coach, kept OC and most everyone else
2022 UGA - lost OC, and misc other position coaches.
2023 UM - lost everyone
2024 tOSU - lost DC and OC, will lose a lot of others

The point is that this isn't unusual. The coordinators and position coaches have hit the highest point they can, other than repeating, and they are going to be in demand.

Do good offense/defense coordinators ever stay? A team like ohio state will attract respectable replacement.

Exactly. Nick Saban had 7 OC's in 16 years at Alabama.

If you win, the guys that helped you get there have opportunities.

$6 million - good for Chip.

We got a P5 HC to come here as OC last year. Wonder if Day calls Lane or Lincoln to come to Columbus for next season?
