Welcome To The Raiders Chip Kelly!

To be honest I can totally see @OregonDucks being a Raiders fan and will fit in beautifully.

Of course this was the Duck’s last obstacle in the way of complete domination of the B1G. Even the mighty Ducks couldn’t overcome the brilliance that is Chip Kelly. Natty on a platter.

Any bets on where Brian Hartline will land?
Chicago Bears has been doing a lot of hiring this off-season 🤔

Exactly. Nick Saban had 7 OC's in 16 years at Alabama.

If you win, the guys that helped you get there have opportunities.

$6 million - good for Chip.
And then you should be able to get really good people because they know if they do well they get to move up.

Honestly don't think there could be more panic with Ohio State faithful than if Hartline were to leave.

Honestly, Ohio States strategy is a sound one. They have paid and are paying him enough that someone would have to offer him one of the highest coordinator salaries in the country for a guy who has never actually called plays.

Wilson reportedly loved his time at Ohio State so I think hes the most likely
From the article today -- the reason you lost your DC is because of Ryan Day. Bold move to run the guy who turned your defense around out of town.

It stated Day would sit in on defensive meetings this past year and would give Knowles directives on what he could and couldn't do.

Ohio needs to give Day a long extension. Michigan fans will pitch in money to cover it for you.

Lol you dUMb fans can't keep up with your mental gymnastics

You all claimed Knowles was our version of Don Brown, now "Day made a huge mistake!"

I guess getting rid of our Don Brown would be a mistake in the eyes of dUMb fans.

Yes Day took initiative after Knowles defense was completely hapless in the 1st game against Oregon and Knowles got butthurt about it.

If Hartline were to go -- I'd think Ohio faithful would lose their mind. He just brings in stud after stud after stud at WR. It is crazy. He could be the most valuable position coach of any roster in all of CFB.

Michigan is going to try to poach one of your guys -- rumor has it -- they are going to make a huge NIL offer to 2026 WR Chris Henry Jr?!?! I think that was the name I saw.

I like recruiting now that Michigan's administration has allowed them to open the purse strings. Michigan had slim to no chance to battle for top 5, top 10, top 25, top 50 guys, because we couldn't offer them squat. Now all these top guys are putting Michigan in the top 4 and top 5 lists.

Yes -- In his first game against Michigan -- that is EXACTLY what he did. He brought the house the whole game and Michigan poured it on.

That was one game and you have held onto that comment for 3 years now. Knowles completely turned around your defense and took it from a liability to a strength.

Newsflash -- you didn't get rid of "Don Brown" -- he got rid of you and did so by making a lateral move over to one of your rivals.

Chris Henry Jr will either end up at Ohio State or West Virginia (because of Rich Rod connections)

Knowles defense had failed big time at key moments, they just happened not to totally break in the playoffs this year, probably because none of the teams we faced outside of Oregon had a capable offense.

He's a good DC but he's far from irreplaceable. He's now at Penn State who has less talent than Ohio State, you are going to see him continue to get exposed by better offenses the majority of the time.

I appreciate Knowles for the defense he installed. It worked well this year. That said, the majority of the defensive talent was there before he even got to OSU, and you're right, he's not irreplaceable. Guerieri is staying and knows a lot of the nuances to Knowles' defense, and I'm sure we aren't going to be hurting for options as Knowles' replacement.

It took our elite level talent defense 3 3/4 years to finally get Knowles scheme down. Penn State taking him as their "all in on next year" option seems like a bad choice for them.

Even if he's an improvement over 2024 for them, the improvement will be minimal. Also, losing Abdul Carter is a massive blow. 2022 OSU in Knowles' first year allowed 21ppg and 321 ypg. I could see PSU being a bit better than that given the lack of talented offenses on their schedule outside of maybe 2-3 games, but it's not going to be a difference-maker right away.
