What are you giving up for Lent this year?

The most Christian of all Christian religions, Latter Day Saints, don’t celebrate Lent either.

So nowhere, cool.

Look, Idc if people adhere to Lent, it's all good. I just don't understand why the church took it upon itself to craft such a thing in the first place. Sure, it has all of the symbolism in there, but God tells you in the Bible what he wants/expects. Making something up for a little over a month doesn't change anything.
For most Christian churches, the whole church year has a structure to it - different seasons to focus on different aspects of Christian living and worship. That's really all it is... a structure.

I going to give up trying to understand women.

I am not Catholic, but none of the churches I went to growing up practiced lent or other typical Catholic practices. Nonetheless, I don't understand why you would need the activity of something like lent to be able to structure sermons or the like.

But either way, I am not against it. Ya'll do whatever ya'll do.

I think I’ll give up church

Contemporary American society defines death as the loss of the pattern produced by a cerebral electroencephalogram (EEG). If life and death are based upon the same standard of measurement, then the beginning of human life should be recognized as the time when a fetus acquires a recognizable EEG pattern. This acquisition occurs approximately 24- 27 weeks after the conception of the fetus and is the basis for the neurological view of the beginning of human life.

If you can "wake up" from being brain "dead" you're not dead just because you're brain dead. Wrongo

You defined death then state that life must be determined the same way. Why?

Also, why didn't you answer my question from before?

Oh yeah…..it is that time of year.

Hang in there, fuckers.

Not a goddamn thing.

Fuck lent, fuck the person that came up with it, and hardeeharhar to anyone that actually "gives something up" for a day.

Suckers.
