I lived down in the dregs of Vancouver during the heyday of the Vancouver punk rock scene (~1979-80). Not for the faint of heart but definitely something I'll never forget being a small part of.

I just made the BC Ferry haj for the concerts. I think my son was conceived the night of the Ramones at the Commodore.

And I saw most of them.

Not a member but saw them in their prime 4 or 5 times backing up various bands.

I recently found a bunch of videos on YT of shows I went to in Toronto as a teenager. The guys I used to go with are way easier to identify than I am (one of them was an Indian dude with offensive lineman size and hair like Courtney Love and the other basically looked like a 6'4" Archie Andrews) but I spotted myself stage diving and crowd surfing a few times. Really fun to watch now and a nice bit of nostalgia.

I'm the longhair around the 8 minute mark. The cheap hoodie and the shitty "B-team" Vans give me away, I never wore anything nice to shows. Don't need my clothes all stretched out and ripped and my good shoes stepped all over
