What are your thoughts on R.E.M.?

I insist on it when asleep.
 
I enjoyed them, never got super into them but I recognize their influence. They operated in kind of the same space as The Cure, but not quite as emo.
 
They are good though I don't see eye to eye with them on the moon.

Meh. I'd take them over a lot of bands, but I don't seek them out or add them to playlists.

Disclosure: My personal preference = Korn > Rolling Stones, so I'm probably not the ideal person to seek opinion from on popular rock music.

I was supposed to see them last year. Saw them on their first tour. Haven't really cared since.


I planned on going to the bar during their set. I was going to see Faith No More.
