What time did your team kickoff their home games before Television

I have no idea what time kickoffs we’re before TV.

Before Maction we still had night games though. They just weren’t on Tuesdays or Wednesdays en sech.
The MAC should do MACTION tuesdays all damn season.

Wtf does age have to do with it, gramps?!?
Maybe nothing, maybe more younger folks like to tailgate and drink more Before going to a game.

Yes Yes we know, you don’t drink so you love noon games.

The first college football game to be televised was in 1939 when there were very few televisions and only 3 networks. After WWII more and more people started owning black and white TV sets and it became increasingly popular to watch all college and pro sports. The door was opened wide open in 1984 when OU and Georgia kicked the NCAA around in court and the NCAA lost its ability to strictly limit the number of college football games that could be televised. Fast forward to the late 1980's and more schools were putting up temporary lights for night games. Since the late 1980's sports-specific television networks channels also became popular and even more games were broadcast during the daytime and at night.

Aren't you like 50 something? I'm not the only one who's in their 30s and quit drinking like still being in 20s. Can't be young forever Peter

Sometimes I feel like I am but I’m not. Credit where it’s due for quitting drinking. I need to but I doubt I will.

No one said you could be young forever Hank.

Yeah, had no idea of the reference. I guess I did see hook before but that was many years ago. Never did see the Peter Pan animated movie. Wouldn’t that mean I’m younger not older?

First time I remember watching a night game was ND and Michigan. It must have been in South Bend, cuz I just looked and saw Michigans first night game was in 2011. Only have had 11 night games at the Big House, ever.

Speaking of drinking, I think this was my first 4th of July without even a sip of beer. Granted it was hot and humid and drinking seemed like a terrible idea , in the past few years I'd have had at least 1
