It was Harbaugh's first year. He didn't have a recruiting class. He signed on to be coach 3 weeks before the signing period. He was able to flip a kid from Texas who was a QB, but he was switched to TE almost immediately. UM had no one at QB, so Ruddock didn't have to do anything to win the job. I'd wager it was guaranteed to him before he even got to UM.

Yeah -- I think it was 2014 or 2015. We had less than zero talent in our QB room. It is why he took in Ruddock and O'Korn.
