My pick would be the 2007(2006 season) AFC Championship Game

Game had it all. Manning vs Brady in their prime, each team had an o-lineman recover a fumble for a TD, a big comeback by Manning and the Colts, and Reggie Wayne snagging his fumble out of the air surrounded by like 3 Patriots was an iconic play

What do y’all have?

NFC Championship game 1982. Dallas - San Francisco. Dwight Clarkes catch with 58 seconds left to give SFO a 28=27 win.

I find it hard to believe unless you were there in person that the best viewing experience was on a tube tv with no HD

Saints beating the Favre-led Vikings in the NFC Championship game with Favre throwing the game-losing interception has a special place in my heart.

The subject line says "What's the best NFL game you've watched...". It doesn't seem that the quality of the TV should be a factor.

I was a kid back then, and tube TV's offered the best viewing experience available at the time. Nobody even knew what they were missing, and the question was "what was the best game", not the best viewing quality. I could have been standing on one foot wrapped in tin foil while holding onto the antenna and it would have been a great game!!!!!

Had the forward pass even been invented by that point?

Montana to Clark. It was the best finish ever.

The fact that back then a standard 6 yard TD pass was considered the best ever tells me all I need to know about the game in ancient times
It was the culmination of a comeback drive. High drama. Plus, this was the Bill Walsh WCO, six yards was a huge pass reception in that offense.
