Chevrolet Chevelle Laguna - Wikipedia
en.wikipedia.org
While I never owned one, guy behind me growing up in The Colony had one. He was a machinist for TI and bought one and two donor vehicles. Was a '72 convertible (I think been so fucking long ago). Not knowing anything about the price it was set to sell at I will say you missed there. A 4-4-2 is such a beast and they can own their price and appreciate quite well. Plus it would have been fun as hell to drive.
For model years 1964-1972, all Malibus are Chevelles, but not all Chevelles are Malibus
A Chevelle isn’t necessarily on fire right now?
Too soon?
Chevelle was the line name. Malibu was a model in that line. It was the sport package that contained the SS396.

1/2 ton's are all trucks. Not all trucks are 1/2 tons's.The name "Malibu" is to the "Chevrolet Chevelle" as the name "Trans Am" is to the "Pontiac Firebird", the name "Z28" is to the "Chevrolet Camaro", the name "BOSS 302" is to the "Ford Mustang".
Now then...
As you should now agree with the following:
All Malibu's are a Chevelle but not every Chevelle is a Malibu.
Just as all Trans-Ams are Pontiac Firebirds, but not all Pontiac Firebirds are Trans-Ams.
All "Z28's are Chevrolet Camaros but not all Chevrolet Camaros are Z28s.
All Boss 302s were Mustangs...but not all Mustangs were Boss 302s.
