Which MLB team is most likely to move and to where?

Don't know about that. Nashville seems like the Vegas of the South. It's a growing city, fans are very engaged so whoever moves there will be supported. College baseball is big in Tennessee with the Vols and Commodores. I just hope whatever team moves to Nashville they put Nashville (Team Name) as opposed to Tennessee (Team name).

If they can support hockey in Nashville, they can most definitely support MLB.
this point is funny, b/c using that logic then the Hornets would be the most popular franchise in the NBA that wasn't located in New York, LA, Boston or Philly.

Sorry, bro. I forgot.

I know it's a shithole, but if a team is gonna move to Tennessee, I think it should be Memphis. Close to the Little Rock market too and Oxford, MS is basically just southern Memphis.

Near the top in attendance last year and the team was never above .500 until August. Braves attendance has been strong since the move to a good location and away from the ghetto Turner Field was in.
I think the address for that stadium was on Crack Alley.

As is North Carolina.

I still think they should expand to 32 teams. Then they could make 8 divisions of 4 teams, do away with the old AL/NL setup.

But, there's really no great markets who don't already have a team. Maybe Vegas

You are correct, & they choked like all get out against the Rangers.
Yeah, that was disappointing. I was hoping for another Carolina-Edmonton finals, that last one was a great series

And here I thought Vegas was the Vegas of the south.

Interesting city to name there. Actually I don't hear any middle America news, is there ever any talk of Omaha to get an MLB team? The Royals seem to work in Kansas City, Omaha since it holds the CWS could likely support an MLB team, it would capture the Western Iowa market too. Omaha actually should maybe get a baseball team.
Sioux Falls isn't too far away either.

If the barometer for getting a MLB team is NHL attendance (????????????????????) Raleigh-Durham/Charlotte would be perfect then.

Chances are Vegas and Montreal get teams via relocation (A's and Rays respectively), and if expansion teams happen it'd be Nashville and Charlotte.

Hard pass on both expansion sites.

I think the Rays are a new stadium in a better location away from being viable in Tampa. They have strong tv ratings, but they play in a turd of a stadium in a hard to get to location. Get on the Tampa side of the bay and they would be fine IMO.

The Marlins are the team in Florida that really needs to relocate. I don’t think they’ll ever be supported, the fans they did have have been burned too many times.

Oakland A's have been around for a decent chunk of time, they have also had a lot of success. Move to a better stadium and I bet they get the crowd to show up like they deserve.
No one goes to A's games because they have been sellers for years since Charlie Finley days. They had those good teams in the late 80's when Levi's owned them and had some great talent come up (Canseco and Maguire), etc and also some amazing deals like Eckersley, Stewart, Bob Welch at the same time in late 80s' but it wasn't long before those guys were sold just like the moneyball treams in early 2000's. Fans aren't fooled. If the A's were a soccer team they would have be relegated long ago. Fans see the Giants with the likes of Posey who was a Giant lifer and invest in trying to be a winner. Built their own stadium. A's current owner one of the richest in baseball but a cheap skate. He should build his own stadium like the Giants did. They can leave as far as I am concerned if he expects taxpayers to help. Go to Vegas with the Raiders. Taxpayers chipped in for Mount Davis in Alameda County and Raiders still left.

P.S. I am bias as I live in Alameda County. Seen enough of the Davis family and glad they are gone.

Right and the population base in those places are much better than the Nashville/Tennessee population base.

A Charlotte team will be able to pull in people from Greensboro/Winston-Salem and Raleigh/Durham. Not to mention, people from Greenville SC as well.

I don't want Nashville or Charlotte/Raleigh to get teams, but if I have to pick one over the other, it is the North Carolina city all day.
