We had to dial “popcorn” to get the current time. Clocks just didn’t update themselves!
 
call waiting was a game changer, until dial up modems became a thing. Then you only knew someone was online because the answer machine never picked up.


Call back enough times and you'd kick them off the internet. Fun times.

better yet, the video games you played on it were in black and white. I played a lot of black and white Atari games. Though I remember them actually being more greenish.
 
anybody still have a working VCR or 8 track?
