In another thread, I saw Joe Brady. I am leaning towards Joe Brady or Billy Napier as mentioned by @MAIZEandBLUE09 . A coordinator makes more sense for LSU than some of the HCs on the list.

You see it all of the time. Teams supposedly are going to hire these big name coaches and then they end up hiring a coordinator. My language might be a little off as it probably should have said it is a more likely/realistic option than another HC.

Ed Ogeron is the only HC hire by LSU that did not have HC experience.

We aren't hiring a coordinator.
