Somebody start the UF vs LSUx game thread for tomorrow. I have some bulllllshit to put in it.

I started the game thread early against Bama and jinxed the mofo...not doing THAT again.

How about David Shaw? He does well with Stanford recruits. How would he do with LSU recruits?

Can LSU afford him while still paying Orgeron?

Heard a pretty good case for Matt Campbell heading to LSU today.

Guy had a few points,

1. Timing, timing is everything and you will only get so many shots at jobs like LSU.

2. MC loses a bunch off of this years team , no guarantee the next group will be as good and his stock drops (timing).

3. If TX and OU leave sooner rather than later then he finds himself in a less than conference once again lessening his value/perception a bit making the case again that the timing may be right.

@78Cyclones How much does MC lose off of this years team?

@CoalTrain Next year's team will definitely take a game line-up card to identify most of the starters!

Purdy, Kolar and Rose are definitely gone. Breece Hall (Jr.) is almost certainly gone. However, they have been recruiting well, the youngsters have been playing, and the program is solid.

Hopefully, this year's group can beat #08 Oklahoma State on Saturday (The 'Pokes have beaten ISU the past two seasons), move back into the rankings and jump back into the Big Xii CCG race.

Personally, I am not worried one iota about Matt Campbell leaving Iowa State after this season to go to LSU.

Michigan State coach Mel Tucker has been mentioned by some folks as a top candidate for the LSU job...

however...

Michigan State has a couple eccentric billionaire graduates in competing real estate-mortgage businesses who have been trying to out shine each other in their financial support/donations to their Alma Mater. It's almost like a space race between these two MSU boosters to see who can out donate the other.

One of these billionaires is Mat Ishiba, president & CEO of United Wholesale Mortgage, and the other is Dan Gilbert, founder of Quicken Loans-Rocket Mortgage and owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

If either or both of these MSU grads decide they want to keep Mel Tucker at Michigan State, then they will probably do what it takes financially to keep Tucker at MSU. As an example...I wouldn't be surprised if either of these billionaire real-estate moguls would be willing to offer Mel Tucker a crazy expensive/exclusive piece of real estate, such as an entire island in the Great Lakes equipped with a mansion and airstrip, and yacht.

So @7samurai13 is actually Ishiba or Gilbert? Who knew?

I made a typo in post # 109 above... the correct last name spelling is Ishbia... I had mistakenly put the 'i' before the "b"

I'm throwing my name into the Billy Napier hat. Makes a lot of sense, Saban disciple, already recruiting the state, has lead the Ragin Cajuns to a few of their best seasons ever with a pretty respectable 34-12 record, grabbed a conference title within 3 years, winning bowl record....IDK just seems to make sense.

Randy Moss or Shaq

In reality. I could see Joe Brady
