Look, i get it about people paying their money for what they want. But do people really pay to go to a college msg board? Is that a real thing? If so, people need to unfuckingplug. How much info do you need to be comfortable watching your team play?

I do this to support a friend who is part-owner of the site.
They do some pretty entertaining stuff, like "behind the scenes" at an Ohio State game. Every away game they go to a popular restaurant in the other team's town and do a review bit on it (for Oregon, for instance, they went to Voodoo Donuts, which I had never heard of). They have great recruiting insights. They have a couple of really excellent x-o type guys who make the game understandable for the average joe. They do lots of podcasts and live broadcasts, and write very good articles. The only thing that is paywalled is the message board to keep out the trolls, and even that doesn't always work.
it's way better than hanging out here, frankly.

Oh, just seems like way too much investment time plus money on a game. I wanna know shit too but at some point knowing a guy's height and weight and jersey number and I am good to go.
Good on your friend owning a good site, I just see it as too much. But there are other type of site I would feel the same about. What you enjoy, won't really knock it other than I just don't see it.
