That's why the whole company parties are such a shit show. Here most of the accounting sluts are single moms looking to put their hooks into a guy making some bank. A slightly elevated version of the sluts living in a military base town looking to snare a GI.

Nah, I'm more a seasoned drinker. I can still differentiate work vs pleasure, which one of my noobs couldn't.
 
We had a zoom cocktail party. We had a seminar on making a few holiday drinks. Some outside company came in to put it on.

We had a no Toobin warning ahead of time.

This is what my wife's company did. Except it was a pile of speeches and announcement of who won which raffles. Sounded boring as hell.

funnest holiday party i was ever a part of was 15 years ago at fort bragg, Christmas 2005. my unit organized a Christmas party at the on-post ice rink, it was basically a huge pot luck where we all got relatively drunk (not sloppy fall-down pukey drunk, just good 'n pleasant drunk). first we did some ice-skating for about an hour or so, then we organized a game of broomball, wearing shoes of course, and it was a hilarious shit show, pretty much everyone wiped out on the ice at least a couple of times. we all had a blast.
 
Not this year, but have every other one. They’re usually fun. For me it’s no different than every other day at work. I’m still a sarcastic smart ass, just with a pint in hand. The problems at these parties usually stem from people toeing the line all the time then getting too loose lipped at the party. Whereas I’m the same all the time. I think this meme pretty much sums it up.

then we did some trivia games, and everyone was blitzed at that point. The trivia were "fill in the blank" types. Shit got sideways in a hurry.
