Much better with Musiala, Wirtz, Adeyemi. Muller couple nice assists and Werner shots were hard and precise finally. Pretty much sums it up. By the way is Sule the best German defender? I think so.

I love how good Süle is with the ball and how he can confidently move forward. He is most certainly their best defender right now.

Might be Bayern's too. His ballhandling skills are pretty damn good for a defender. Upamecano was bad again for France in yesterday's Nation's League Final. Nearly cost France.

Now the Costa Rica game must win because of this. Only Ricardo Pepi has saved Berhalter ass so far.

P.S. Harsh but true. Pulisic is useless if he only plays 1 out of 4 games. Kind of been his USNT career so far. Walking eggshell in many ways. It is what it is.
 
I barely pay attention until the actual tournament. I had the idea that the US was close to a lock to make it this time around. After the loss to Panama, where do they stand?

Not in great shape. Tied for 2nd with Panama but only 1 point up on 4th place Canada and 2 on 5th place Costa Rica. Top 3 guarantees you a spot in the WC. 4th just get you in a playoffs.
 
Do agree with @MrFlyingV that Costa Rica is now a must win.

Win that and hopefully Canada/Panama play to a draw. Would leave them 3 points up on 4th
 
I'm going to challenge this team to take all 6 points during the next set of games.

Home vs Mexico and away to Jamaica. You will be more than halfway into WCQ at that point.

Would have them at 17 points through 8 games which is a good enough pace to get them in
 
Who wants to bet we tie Costa Rica? This totally feels like its gonna be one of those games where we look dreadful (as usual) but get a score late to salvage a tie.

Very likely. USA midfield dreadful last game. Need much better from there. Burhalter better put out the right lineup for this. My lineup:

Aaronson, Adams, McKennie
Dest, Zimmerman, M Robinson, A Robinson

Joel Campbell out for Costa Rica tomorrow. One of their better players.
 
I see the Eastern European fans being poor sports today. Albanian fans launching projectiles at the Polish players after they scored and took the lead. Poland team has left the field. I heard the Hungarians are fighting with the cops at Wembley. Hungary has the worst fans. Hopefully they don't make the World Cup. Got a tie today but probably won't be enough if Poland wins.
 
Zach Steffen and Chris Richards starting. A bit risky but we'll see.
