Name the song your favorite band or artist did that was bad. In your opinion, it was a bad selection.

I am going to go with Waiting on a Friend by the Stones. Bad choice

Korn should've never done or released their cover of "Word Up".

Granted, Korn's version is easily much better than the original, but it's also easily the first song that comes to mind of "worst song by a favorite band".

Same group. Different song.

Record labels ruined a lot of rock bands by pressuring them into making 'pop' songs.

They destroyed Heart.
They tried to do that with Slipknot after the success of Slipknot's first (self-titled) album. Slipknot went completely the other way and followed up their initial success with what is wildly considered their heaviest and best album "Iowa". The first song on that album (after the intro) is "People = Shit" and real fans loved it.

Slipknot is one of the biggest bands in heavy music today - 25 years later; they headline the biggest rock festivals in the world. If they would've bent to the will of those record execs and created a cheesy mainstream follow-up, they might be about as big as ...Mushroomhead? ...Daughtry?

Record labels ruined rock bands like Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Styx with the pop stuff. Had to get them on the 'Pop Charts'.

This song was also a response to their record label trying to get Korn to make more pop hits. I like the song in large part because it's a middle finger to them. It does resonate live, too.

I've mentioned several times that VH's "1984" was pop crap that turned me off to them. I only listen to VH pre-"1984" with the only exception being "Hot For Teacher" because the drums & guitar on that song shred like their pre-"1984" stuff.

Same.

I think it was the song "Jump" that did me in on VH.

Drop Dead Legs was a good tune.
