C’mon. Belle Glade or Pahokee are way worse. They’re like Homestead without the highway infrastructure.

Upstate is awesome if you like the outdoors, as I'm sure you know. Yeah, some of the towns can have a real Children of the Corn vibe, but some have real charm

Yep, very few places continue to use the venues, LA, Rome, Berlin , etc still use the stadiums, but most places they either get torn down or remain derelict. I do think Winter Olympic venues tend to fair better (not alway) as usually they are held at places that already have most everything built, or continue to use long after, especially places like Austria, Norway , etc.

Same with the World Cup unless it's held in an "advanced" country like Germany, France, even the USA where most stadiums, hotels etc are already in place and being used. South Africa, Brazil etc lost lots of money that could have been better spent on their people.

lol. Sounds like this strip club in Miami we affectionately called the Hialeah Center For The Performing Arts.

It may not have been legal but it was overlooked.
