You said UGA had an easy schedule this year ...

It’s why we only play 8 games. 8 SEC games = 10 B1G games. Everyone knows that.

The SEC plays 8 games in-conference because 6 wins is better than 5 wins, 7 wins is better than 6 wins, 8 wins is better than 7 wins, 9 wins is better than 8 wins, 10 wins is better than 9 wins, etc.
They get more bowl eligible teams and more teams ranked in the Top 25.

If the Big 10 played 8 in-conference games (insert late season FCS opponent here) then one or more of Nebraska, Illinois, and Minnesota would likely be bowl eligible.

Stop.

Tired of the GT argument acting like that is a huge P5 opponent. Just stop because that dog doesn’t hunt. You act like you’re playing FSU or Clemson every year.
I just wanna point out the last H&H GT had with the Barn…GT won both games

Pretty much no SEC schedule goin forward will be Easy.

Next year Bama has

@Wisconsin
@Tenn
@LSU
Georgia
@Oklahoma

I know, it's brilliant, right? The most amazing thing is (1) why other conferences don't do it, and (2) seeing how it helps the SEC get into bowl games they shouldn't be in, why don't the other teams win more often when they play SEC teams?

1) Yes, it's brilliant.
2) I have no idea why other conferences don't do it. It's a simple concept.
3) Other teams don't win more often against SEC teams, because deer antler spray.

Actually tho...

BYU beat Arkansas
New Mexico St beat Auburn
Miami beat Texas A&M
Florida St beat LSU
Texas beat Alabama
Wake Forest beat Vanderbilt
UNLV beat Vanderbilt
North Carolina beat South Carolina
Clemson beat South Carolina
Utah beat Florida
Florida St beat Florida

“They didn’t want to be there.”

Did I do that right or does it only apply to SEC teams when they lose bowl games?

Quit using facts.

Maybe it's just me, but it just stands to reason that if the SEC played 9 in-conference games each, then there would be a guaranteed 7 more losses among SEC teams somewhere. :rolleyes:
Your calculations would be correct…at least according to my West Texas Arithmetic.

Not in Bowl games, which is the point that was being made about the 8 game IC.

And, the losses you refer to are:

Bama - 1
LSU - 1
--------------------
Arkansas - 1
Auburn - 1
ATM - 1
Vandy - 2
UF - 2
USCjr - 2

So, basically, the low end of our conference lost games to OOC. The FSU and Texas wins were obviously good for those teams. The others, meh, who cares that Vandy or Florida lost twice ... two cellar dweller teams. Same with the chickens.

Just checked with my associates and it's true, Georgia is still, in fact, not in the CFP's.

Says the ASU fan who hasn't sniffed significance in forever. Win some games, then talk.
