I've stated in this post that tOSU is rounding into shape. That said, let's look at their schedule:I am going to do something different here. Instead of ranking teams based on their ranking or what I think they deserve right now, I am going to rank teams based on how good I really think they are.
I feel like there is a clear top 3:
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
I am banking on one of these 3 teams winning the whole thing. After that:
4. Oklahoma
5. Oregon
6. Cincinnati
I am still not sure on Michigan. They are outside waiting but I won't them to play someone. Michigan State is like Iowa, great season but they are not competitive against top notch teams.
If I was a poll voter, I would put Michigan and Michigan State in top 6 right now based on performance but I don't think they are top 6 teams.
W @Minn (3-1/5-2) - 45-31 (that game could have been different if Minny doesn't lose their star RB)
L Ore (3-1/6-1) - 35-28
W Tulsa (2-1/3-4) - 41-20
W Akron (1-3/2-6) - 59-7
W @Rutgers (0-4/3-4) 52-13
W Maryland (1-3/4-3) 66-17
W @Indiana (0-4/2-5) 54-7
The combined W/L of the teams they have played in "rounding into shape" is:
Conf - 4-15
Overall - 14-22
It's not like they have played anyone. They are starting to look the part, but November will be interesting when they start playing teams that seem to be better.
