Zelenskyy is urging NATO for more support. How much “support” should NATO give?

they get tried at The Hague.
i guess i always forget that for some retarded reason they are not being treated properly in the UN. THey need to be given the boot for their actions

So here is something i dont get, who "finds" Russia "guilty" of these war crimes and what are teh consequences ? i mean i dont think russia really cares about it at this point
Isn't it the International criminal court, of which the US isn't a member and doesn't recognize?

And in the off chance Putin is tried and convicted it only means he can only travel in Russia or friendly countries or else risk being arrested, I think. No one is going into Russia to get him if he were convicted.

i kinda figured it was a big meh, if these people who would charge Russia with war crimes isnt jumping in to help stop him i dont see how they would enforce any action they take as a result of conviction

they are accused of committing war crimes. They just discovered a mass grave with Ukrainian civilians. There are reports of over 10K Russian soldiers being killed. You think that’s a “ruse”? I think they bit off more than they could chew and they are trying to salvage what they can from this.
I mean…..we are talking the Russians. Did I think they were OK with 10k soldiers being killed for a ruse? I don’t know. Almost any other country I would say “of course not”.

Haven’t read up….this 10k being reported is just around Kyiv?

I think it can be a little of both. They wanted the ruse there to occupy Ukrainian defenses until they accomplished other aims. They didn’t expect such casualties…..but they were already there.

Atrocities….well…:I can’t say that surprises me for Russians, as gross as it is. I think they just proved they do not have sufficient command and control over such things. Their command structure has SUCKED.

I’m sure Milosevic didn’t think much of this legal body either. Until he was toppled and turned over.

The same would need to happen to Putin and his cohorts, and that probably doesn’t happen. But, that’s no reason to not have the evidence on hand and bullet proof if it ever does go that way.

Saw this last night. Major blow to the Russian navy, as that was the only cruiser-sized ship in the Black Sea. Turkey has shut the Bosporus to military traffic, so the Russians can't replace it.

I think this substantially weakens their ability to continue firing cruise missiles, as the Moskva was their primary AA defense platform.

i think the Ukrainian resolve is about to be tested given that the Russians are set to attack in the east

Yeah, but they’ve really fucked themselves in the south. Or….to be proper and fair…Ukraine fucked them. Ultimately maybe the Ukrainians can move more troops and equipment from the south to the east.

All speculation….what this is is a HUGE morale boost and I couldn’t be happier to see it.

Literally sank that fucker.

It does more to Russia on the global scale, this quagmire was definitely not foreseen. Each blow like this shows that Russia is nothign but nukes and boasts

Yeah they did a lot of bluster and PR-type appearances for years and, even though a lot of people who knew more of the under-the-hood stuff said it was just a bunch of hot air, it was still tough not to get drawn-in at times (having the Red Army legacy/that not being that long ago doesn't hurt either).

Now? Well they just showed the world all their military has nukes (shouldn't still be taken lightly) and that's....it. Maybe if they got attacked it would be different since morale would be completely different as well.

Also you ever play MW3 where Russia has a land campaign that pushes all the way to Paris? Kind of funny thinking of that juxtaposed with the Ukraine invasion.

Might be careful what you wish for.
NATO might show their ass, just like the Russians did.

We can't be having any of that.
i like your thinking but our weapon systems are badassed.

There were just so many other ways we could have avoided this war.
