Company: We're making this conference you've been planning for 2 months into a "hybrid" virtual conference because we're trying to save money on T&E budgets. We know you have sunk costs totaling~$15k, but the optics! We need to look like we're saving money!

Me: Let's cancel the big event in August while we're at it, then. I don't have time to plan an event that big and next week's entire 2 day conference is less than the parking budget for my big event. We can double up the one in May since I already have about $50k invested in that one.

Company: okay, we'll think about it. I know you told us you needed to sign the contract by yesterday, but we're not sure if we want to commit to you throwing away $85k just yet (as the time to finish the planning ticks by). Oh, by the way- did everyone get the little metal replica daggers we shipped in an oversized box via FedEx yesterday? Aren't they so cool looking, with our logo on them & everything?!

Me: The thing that looks like a 12" Game of Thrones letter opener? Is that what it is? A letter opener?

Company: Dafuq do we know?! It's cool looking though, isn't it?! That's why we sent it in a velvet-lined box. So cool!
Corporate Culture... The gift that keeps on giving! :heh:

Nerds in India: "Stop submitting individual tickets whenever you need this certain web project done, just comment what you're trying to give us in the parent/revision tasks.

Nerds in India after we do exactly what they asked: "Stop doing exactly what we told you to do this is as disorganized as everyone said it would be."

Should tell the nerds in India to take a shower I can smell the curry halfway around the world.

AC is now fixed for under $300.

Fucking other guys were con artists.

So a capacitor? Contact switch?
Iuno he did a leak test with hydrogen pressure or some shit and said there was no leak according to his reader. It stayed at like 400lbs of pressure the whole time. He did a couple other things to the exterior of the unit and patched the steel thing on the interior casing.

You are worse than talking to a woman about this.

It is kind of amazing to me, that there are people that live in homes their entire lives, and know almost nothing about them.

I was trying to explain how a heating element works in an electric water heater, for about 15 minutes today. its not a hard concept. This person could not understand the most basic of shit. I don't know how someone so dumb, could be good enough at anything, to be able to buy a home. Not talking about you douche
