TV Series Better Call Saul

Maybe Kim takes him out?

But if he is killed, and Saul is aware of it, than his scene with Walt and Jesse doesn’t make sense. How would Lalo send them after him if Lalo is dead?

My guess is if he goes, its Mike that gets him.

Not sure if it happens with 5 episodes still left though

Unbelievable

I mean, kinda believable since we know the outcome of several characters. Thrilling nonetheless though. Takes a lot of talent to pull that off since we know the destination of so many of the characters

And thats what was crazy. The way they made it all fit so well

Also the fact that Jesse was blowing up meth hazmat suits bouncing around like a dough boy on HH's grave.

Man, not sure there are many characters in tv history done more dirty than Howard between how he died, how his friends/family have to think he died and where he is buried. Tough fucking break.

Lol, they have 100% jumped the shark with Lalo at this point. I actually would not be surprised to see him get away from the German cops next week by riding a jet ski through a flaming hoop and over a tank of great whites.

The whole deal in season four when he vaulted into the ceiling and crawled behind the Travel Wire counter only to drop through the ceiling on the other side in 5 seconds or so was absolutely dumb as fuck. But I can forgive that one stupid ass thing. You can have a guy like that eek his way out of an impossible situation ONE TIME.

However when it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME he's in any danger, it gets really predictable, boring, and kind of annoying to watch. In retrospect damn near every single scene with Lalo this season has been like watching the arc of a villain on a shitty CW show. I really don't know what the fuck they're doing. If it's a big build up for Lalo dying in a really mundane way like shitting his brains out from some bad bratwurst then maybe I get it.

At least everything else has been pretty solid though.
I thought of this post as Lalo went by the security camera, while the dude wasn’t looking.

Lol, yeah that was also pretty stupid. They could have just not shown a security camera pointing at that one corner of the building.

I'm glad he didn't get away in some bullshit manner again but I think we all knew when Gus hid that gun in the lab that he would use it to kill Lalo down there. Kinda like we all knew Nacho was gonna die as soon as we found out he was heading to the desert with like 7 other dudes that we know are alive in Breaking Bad.

Still not sure I buy the reasoning or logic behind putting all those eggs in the "what if he gets me in this hole unarmed somehow?" basket. I'd be more concerned with planning to not end up in that hole unarmed than planning for what happens if I do.

Whatever though. Glad they got that out of the way. I still think the season would have been better if Lalo just burned down his house and then they found a bunch of unidentifiable corpses and we never saw Lalo again until he was spying on the laundry. All that shit with him doing a world tour jumping out of two story buildings, seducing German women, and chopping dude's feet off with an axe was fuckin' stupid.

The Gene stuff and wrapping up the Jimmy and Kim story should be real good.

The gun in the lab was one of those things they do. Jesse saying he’d go to Alaska and do woodworking. Then goes to Alaska. Saul saying he’d end up running a Cinnabon in Omaha(which he may actually have picked out with Kim, we’ll see) then you know, bein Gene.

I liked the Lalo sidebar. Would’ve taken a side movie. Was hoping he was still living in the Breaking Bad universe tbh. He has superpowers.

Getting the money and accepting he’s the bad guy and how Kim deals with it is all we have left now.

How’d they get the get the backhoe in and out of there?

What do we got to do for 4 or 5 or whatever more episodes? Is Gene gonna get a whole episode? I guess we need to resolve the DA and detective being onto Jimmy knowing Lalo's identity, that whole storyline has all but been buried (no pun intended) at this point. Something has to happen with Kim still, though I think we see where that's heading (even if there's some twist, it can only go so many ways now).

We have three scenes with Walt and Jesse. One apiece apart and one together.

So says Brian Cranston. Be a trip if “Mr. Mayhew” is involved.

I don’t know the exact timeframe. We could already be in breaking bad crazy meth times, or we could still be years before. Idk.

I am thinking we well within the BB time frame at this point. I think we are “days” away from W&J kidnapping Saul.

They have to be years away from that don't they? Isn't it 2004 in Saul?

I thought Breaking Bad took place in 2008, same time it aired.

I think Werner probably ate it one piece at a time and then shat it out when they got in there. Then they put it back together. Tyrus does the same thing to get it out.

Days away might be a stretch.

When Saul and Jesse kidnap him Saul seemed pretty established at that new location and Jesse knew who he was really well. Not sure Saul has built up that much of a rep yet as the "criminal" lawyer.

Also, there is the whole Kim factor. So if she bails she basically bailed off screen and that Saul was completely fine immediately?

Also tomorrow is emmy day

If Seehorn doesnt finally get one, the world should burn.

She got nommed.

Rest of BCS besides Odenkirk got ignored though. Nothing for directing even.

Looking at the noms is why the Emmys is kinda a joke. They just latch on to the same 3 shows in all categories.

Guest actor is already a stupid fucking category, but they basically just gave it to anyone who popped up on Succession haha.

The reward shows are complete shams. I suspect the voters couldn’t care less, so they just hope to be on the right side rather than vote for whom they think did the best job. And all of that is entirely subjective anyway.

All of that before you ever even look at the fact that the awards are based on antiquated medium anyway (“tv” vs “theatrical movies”). The Oscars and Emmys should be combined and the categories should be better defined.

There was a Breaking Bad marathon on AMC over the weekend ahead of BCS. Rewatched the last half of season five. That was such a great ending on BB. Much better than the final season of Ozark which I felt was flat.

Everyone swoons over Seehorn (rightfully, she’s amazing), but I find it really weird Odenkirk doesn’t seem to get much attention. Maybe because he’s a Hollywood veteran who already had a lot of respect, but not for this kind of role. Has he ever shown acting chops like he’s been able to in BCS?

I had a feeling we weren't really caught up with the BB days.

But with that ending, now we truly are.

Damn that was well done. Figured a break up was the only way to go but they did it really well and we got the time jump to Saul. Now it should be a lot of Saul/Gene these final 4 to wrap up his journey. Everyone else is pretty set.

Felt like the end of the show tbh.

Very few questions other than if we see Gene’s demise.
