tOfficial B1G Thread

Just start the games, already. The offseason has been boring.
The off season has been anything but boring. The off season has gone on way the hell too long, so just start the games already.

Just heard on the radio that Michigan and Ucla will not play a P5 team in the non conference this year. First time in 28 years that Michigan has played all scrubs.

Michigan doesn’t play a P5 in 2023

It's great. We finally get an SEC schedule.

Look at Georgia's schedule this year, how many B10 teams play that schedule and end up 11-1/12-0 headed into the SEC championship? Their toughest game is Oregon to start, and then its' downhill from there.

So they play 2 P5 teams and you play 0 for 2 years.

Yup. It's good they play a couple P5 teams in their OOC because they don't seem to play any in their conference schedule.

No P5 on Michigan's OOC next year either. East Carolina, UNLV, Bowling Green.

I'll "defend" them in saying now it really makes no sense to risk a OOC loss. If you win the B1G you are probably in the playoff unless you have 2 losses.

I think that was the plan all along. B10 championship game in the Rose Bowl.

My opinion is thag the next step for the playoff is the 3-4 major conferences that end up existing hosting championship games as the first leg.
Yikes, I am sure that you want an empty Rose Bowl? Do you really think 60,000+ tOSU and Wisky fans are going to fly to SoCal on a few weeks notice when those same fans will likely have CFP games coming up? I just can't see that.

Here you go old duffer, this will lift your spirits right up!

Walker and Curtis hurt because they were actually seemingly 100% favoring Ohio State at one point.

The others we were top 3 for but never really thought of to be the ultimate destination.

I think you're underestimating how many alumni of B10 schools live in the LA area. Beyond Michigan, California has the 2nd most Michigan alumni living in the state.

I am sure there are a lot. Not all will be CFB fans, not all will be fans of the schools that will be playing. If you are relying on local fans to fill your CCG stadium, I am not sure that is a good plan.

I don't mind Iowa scheduling those ISU and weak G5 or good FCS teams (except North Dakota State).
