Katie: Is the boss's covid test at 3p at home or does he have to go somewhere?
moi: go somewhere - PCR are not home tests
Katie: ah, ok

....she puts a meeting on his calendar from 2-2:30; he adds "travel" to his calendar right over it...

Katie: ugh ok I see travel now. Is 2pm not going to work?
moi: LOL! You didn't clear it with him first? He added "travel". No, it won't work if he's in the car and has to see materials.

i always think i'm the dumbest one on the totem pole, but sometimes these idiots surprise me.

First time back here in a lonnnnnnnnng time. Happy to be back.

What lazy ass boss needs someone to put something as trivial as getting a PCR test on their calendar anyway?

Does he need reminders to wipe after shitting?

Albany KY (WTF? It's 2 hours away from either Lexington or Nashville)

I had to look it up - never heard of it.
Good lord, most of the Commonwealth is some degree of bumfuck, but having now seen where Albany is on the map, that's definitely in an area that's on the higher end of the "bumfuck" spectrum.
The only thing around there that even sounds familiar is Dale Hollow.
A friend of mine growing up used to go to the lake there with her family.

It's probably really gorgeous there, but I'd also guess there are a lot of people there who are missing most of their teef.

Poor dog owners. Was up early, saw one of the neighbors walking his dog at 6:00am. Fast forward to 11:30am, the same neighbor is out walking the same dog again. I bet there will be one or 2 more times for that same walk before the day ends.

It's so good. I got these pita that I really like so i made some for snackin' but i've never made it before...definitely need only 1 clove of garlic. Might have to go get more yogurt to dial it back a bit.

Also gonna try to make my own hummus today. I read that the key is to overcook the chickpeas with a little baking soda added to the water. I had the best hummus years ago at this restaurant in SF - it was sooo fluffy! This is what I'm hoping for.

I can't eat hummus.
It gives me flashbacks of stinky hippies selling hummus in the parking lot of Grateful Dead shows.

Ah, so a real "birthplace of the toothbrush" kinda municipality?

Seems so, yes.
I mean, looking at it on a map, I was thinking, shit, I don't see anything that sounds even slightly familiar ... oh, there's Dale Hollow Lake, at least I've heard of that!

Sounds like you would enjoy Lawrence, Kansas

I was thinking after I made my post, whew, I'm glad I phrased it the way I did, because how I wanted to phrase it may have ruined @moxie 's enjoyment of hummus.

Speaking of Mox - the weather is forecast to likely get officially beyond hot af over the holiday weekend.
Head's up.
