Muller playing false 9 sounds like a terrible route IMO. I feel good about central defense.

The England FA are notorious for bad scheduling. It's like they look at the fixtures and purposely find the worst spot to put games and then schedule them there.
 
Prefok should have been named to US roster. This team will score 1 goal in three games.

I saw the lineups for many teams. They threw the Carabao Cup under the bus for the big clubs . Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, West Ham all out. Liverpool has to go to penalties to beat Derby County. Get rid of the Carabao Cup. Waste of player resources. Every other country has a league, a cup, and Europe (maybe). England 2 Cups. Some teams are playing International friendlies. Raul Jimenez playing for Mexico and not Wolverhampton. Lunacy.

For the big clubs still in Europe, better to be out of Moose Cup.

Over Josh Sargent for sure. Sargent flame out in Bundesliga and EPL...but in the Championship all of sudden he starts looking good. He'll suck 100% at World Cup. Same with 5'7" Ferreira. Just start Wright and live on a prayer here.

Yeah LFC played their youth team. In retrospect, Spurs should have done the same

It's just as bad for the FA Cup, at least in years past.

It's strange, The German and Spanish FAs have in the past worked with their teams playing in Europe
to reschedule domestic cup games so they have a better chance in the UCL etc, but England's FA is terrible,
not only with scheduling, but other things too, especially how they use VAR.

Germany takes XMAS Holidays off, and EPL playing on Boxing Day....after World Cup. Bundesliga restarts on January 21st I believe. Lots of rest before UCL knockouts begin.

Not for sure in Germany, but I know the Spanish FA have moved Copa del Rey games for Barca and Real Madrid before so they didn't affect UCL games.

Germany moved the 1st Round of Pokal Games back in July for Leipzig and Bayern to late August because of Super Cup. So it has happened. Don't know about going forward. At the Round of 16 now.
 
English squad named. Shoebox head Maguire still there. Rashford back over Toney and Abraham. Not sure that is a good idea. Walker and Phillips made it even though injured.

I actually told my boss not using the rest of my full vacation days instead when germany, USA, Poland plays I will be taking groups of hours off as long as they are alive.
 
I have my PVR locked and loaded.

Up here TSN has them all under a series called 2022 World Cup of Soccer from Qatar or something like that and all games are now recorded.

Giggles. So easy. All games recorded with no effort.

I'll start with my morning coffee, book in lap.

Most of the important games for me 11 AM out here. Lunch time. One is 5 AM. Germany vs Japan but I usually am up for work at that time. Thanksgiving Holiday helps too for Group games. 4 days and no work days next Thursday through Sunday.
