Just a friendly, but that was shit. Germany going to get scored on this tournament. The key is how much they will score. A lot of players didn't play today, but we did see the ones who now we know shouldn't start. Oman had way too many good looks today.

Brazil will be an interesting watch too. Not just because they have incredible attacking talent, but also because their defenders are old and could get exposed. I wouldn't hate some shootouts in the tourney.

WTF. I heard they were just going to move the vendors from being so visible. Absolutely pathetic!! Budweiser (and one other one) have been big sponsors since the 1970's Cups and always have had a big booth right in front. Who is going to pay those two vendors what they are losing? Outrageous cave in. Just leave and play the games in Europe next summer. Fuck Qatar.

They're still going to be allowed to sell Bud Zero (lulz) and I think the story mentioned that the suites or corporate hospitality areas will be allowed to sell actual alcohol. But this is some serious bullshit. This Cup is gonna suck.

Bud Zero (aka Topo Chico) lol. Serious bullshit is right!! That I had read a couple days ago about the corporate suites. They just don't want it at the stadiums for the real fan. Booze and soccer is the same as Thanksgiving and Turkey. It is a must. The Cup is going to suck.

I feel like there's little to no hype around it.

I don't remember what network the last one was on, ESPN right?

I feel like it being on Fox is also sort of isolating as it's only reaching Fox. ESPN got the ABC bump as well.

Regardless, there's so much negativity around this one, I'm already sort of out on it myself too.

For many more reasons than this too. As soon as they admitted bribery was involved, they should have moved it to somewhere in Europe, or to Australia, either could handle it short notice and wouldn't have to build anything.

I mean, Fox is trying to promote it. I remember seeing a bunch of commercials during the World Series and playoffs, but here in the States we probably didn't get as many commercials because of the elections during most of the fall.

Yea, I've seen the same Santa commercial over and over, but that's it. I just feel like ESPN was producing way more spots and it was on ABC as well. I could be Mandelaing it though, I guess.

The fact it's in November too...jesus christ.

I see the games are on FS1, FS2, Fox...but at least not on FOX Sports App behind a paid firewall....I think.

OOOOOOF. I forgot FS1 was even a thing.

I would simply skip the MLS games I wanted to watch which I couldn't get on ESPN(+) that landed on FS1, as the Fox Sports Channels aren't part of the Sling package I have.
