If true he was "offered", for all we know it had to do with salary. He was quite possibly asking for Mel Tucker (et al) type monies and contract.

Fuck that. Outside of Urbs, Saban, Dabo, they're all a gamble.

Besides, Rhule didn't turn Baylor around anyway. It was Briles.

Rhule made it known before he didn't like the recruiting aspect -- it is why he took the Baylor job over Oregon before. He wants the recruits in his backyard and you aren't getting that at Nebraska.

Like Beamer he could have left years ago multiple times. He ain’t going anywhere.

So true. I have been saying this (to ppl in real life) since Rhule was even talked about. People say he turned Baylor around, but iirc, Baylor still had a bunch of talent from Briles. If anything, it is more suspect that he came in and went 1-11 when a lame duck coach in Grobe did better. Again, not saying that Rhule wouldn't be good, just that his record is a little misleading.

I would be ok with him at OC. I think he needs to work his way back up, building trust. Take coordinator positions for a while, then maybe take an FCS or G5 position, though he is getting up there in age.
 
Huskers 24/7 now saying Lance Leipold but I think these sites grasp at any damned thing they can come up with for clicks.

Okay... Also, I'd rather get a $1 million raise to be convinced to stay in Seattle than a "whatever Nebraska is offering" raise to go live in Nebraska.
