Show yer Pet's ugly mug...

My life gets better and better.

I am now officially being investigated by the SPCA for cruelty to animals.

Sorry to hear it. Hope they conclude that you were as humane as you could possibly be in that situation. Talk about adding insult to injury. :tsk:

We had to put our basset/spaniel mix down earlier this year so we're surprising our girls with a new basset puppy for x-mas. The puppies were born about a month ago and we get to go drive out and pick ours up on the 23rd.

I took Nimbus to the SPCA Saturday AM for cremation as I didn't want him in a bag in my freezer until Monday when vets would be open.

They asked what happened and because I never even thought I was in the wrong, I told them. So I'll call it self inflicted.

Aside from the constable at my door whom I spoke with for 10 minutes and she mentioned possible charges and I told her, "You weren't there. You have no idea how much we loved that cat. You have no idea how much he loved us. And you have no idea what exactly we were confronted with because my description doesn't do it justice. It was horrible. Worst things I've ever seen or done. With my own 2 fucking hands. And I will remember the sights and sounds of it forever. Now please go away. I don't need this and I have to go pick up my son in 10 minutes."

Haven't heard since.

Brent and I went to Campbell River on Saturday to pick up these two fellas. 5 months, rescue brothers.

Loki and Odin. Loki on the left has white whiskers, bit of white on his chest and tiny white boots.

To say we love them dearly is a bit of an understatement.

Wild stuff, dude. Sorry ya had to deal with that on top of the loss of a loved pet.

And for the record, I know it’s Thor and Loki who are brothers, but we prefer the name Oden to Thor.

Fucking assholes.

Got a new cat. Don't have photos of it, will ask the wife to send me some of the 18 gigs of photos she already has of him. Orange and white tabby, rescue, had a broken tail they had to amputate so he has a 1" nub for a tail and runs like a rabbit without it.

We were considering a brother sister, tabby combo. It was four months old. But we went with black for Nimbus.

We still have the house separated to get the cat and dog used to each other. She has been doing really well, just whimpers some times when he comes in the room. But doesn't chase him. He hisses when she gets close, so really protecting her from his claws still at this point. Will be great when we don't have doors closed and gates up to keep the apart.

Indy has been a bit distant to the new boys. But he isn't attacking or hissing and last night all 3 were chasing one of those feathery bird like things on a string.
