Big East Basketball

Beat the shit out of GT so that was nice.

Dont get me wrong GT sucks. But since I think MU is young and flawed rather than total shit themselves. This is what you need to do to bad teams.

I think they're a tournament level team but I don't know if the B East will have enough quality wins this year. Uconn and X have to pick up some slack.

Getting Whitmore eventually will help big time(I truly dont know when or what to expect with Moore but he could be massive too) but things are dire right now. Boat raced today.

The was maybe the best half of basketball ive ever seen a Marquette team play.

Our lack of shooting and muscle will hurt against strong teams with lots of bulk sometimes. But this defense is tenacious and you cant teach speed/athlecism. When the two freshman Ross and SJ are pressuring with Omax its beautiful.

One half left though, dont let up.

When Kam attacks and smartly chooses his Curry 3s, hes fun to watch.

Kolek, Omax and Oso are the the keys to the team though. When those 3 are on they have the most versatile games.

But I love the freshman and their potential.
 
Damn, didnt even let them make a run.

Baylor stopped turning it over so much and can really score. We answer4ed every single bucket and then some. It was 32 with 2 minutes left before shaka pulled everyone. Still ended up pushing the second half.

Baylor with 3 minutes left were down 29 and shooting 50% and 40% from 3. Incredible.
 
My goodness the Big East sucks so bad this year. Sucks to see, but this will be very much an off year / rebuilding season for most of the programs. Weak AF

Yeah, Nova and Gtown being bad this season won't help. Though I could see Nova win the Big East Tournament once they are healthy. They just probably won't have an at-large resume. UConn, Creighton, SJU, Marquette and probably Xavier are all tournament teams most likely.
 
Creighton's defense is terrible. They go stretches where teams just score at will against them.

UConn is going to win this league...
 
I know beard is a good coach but having a 40% free throw shooter in when the other team is in foul mode is plain stupid

Also not sure why they scored right away on the home run pass. Could have run off 4-5 seconds if they pull it back.

Idk I was pretty impressed with Creighton. They had some bad d rebounding but other than that got a lot of key stops.

They hung in there despite not being able to hit literally anything. Mostly good looks too.

Their one down fall was the 3 minute stretch in the second half when it was 37-36. They stopped attacking and led to bad tranisition D and a quick 8-0 run. Then down 62-59 with 2 minutes left they stopped attacking again and rushed shots.

They're OK. Kalkbrenner, Nembhard and Schierman are good on offense. Kaluma has regressed.

They just give up too many easy buckets. It was the same against Arizona, then again Zona just got trounced.

But when they're on they can beat anybody.

UConn is just better defensively. The rest of the Big East... who knows this year.

Yeah I def agree about Uconn

THey are the only team in the BE im fully chalking up an 0-2 against for MU. Always a bad match up and this year might be the worst with the new big fucker as a back up.

I think Creightons best is the best in this league(ironic since preseason I said they were over hyped, league just blows) but Uconn is def the more consistent well rounded team.

Creighton, UConn and Marquette are the only teams that have shown anything in this league, but you know how it goes. The shitty teams get hot late and fuck up your season.
