Jeff Brohm To Louisville

I think it is a backwards move ... at Louisville he will have half the budget he has at Purdue once the B1G TV money kicks in. He may regret this one day.
Oh is the BiG TV deal gonna put him over the top at Purdue or something? LOL the other 14 or 16 schools are getting the same cut. They may have facilities that are newer or even better.. but it's still in Indiana

Exactly. People are missing that point.

Purdue, Illinois & Indiana aren't suddenly becoming nationally relevant powers because of a TV deal.

I see much less competition at Louisville than he had at Purdue.

Purdue's last 10 win season was in 1979. Even their "best years" under Joe Tiller were capped at 9-4.

Louisville has won 11 and 12 games in the last 10 years. The potential is there, I think Brohm can unlock it.
that's some good stats..

But can you post check stubs after the new BiG deal kicks in?!?!?! Once bluechip players see what the school is getting, they'll be lining up to play some REAL football in Indiana!!!!!!!!

Yes, but (1) I am guessing that is hoops and the money goes to hoops, and (2) these don't reflect the new B1G v. ACC difference.

Look, I don't think it's a terrible move, and the fact he is going home makes sense. And he can win the ACC when he can't win the B1G. So there's that.
The chart breaks it by sports as well. Louisville spend more on football and basketball

lol is it THAT much less? lol
I know it is a year to year situation in CFB, but I don't see anyone in the ACC near Michigan or OSU. Clemson jumps up every few years, FSU always pulls an A&M and looks good on paper, Miami won't be good until they feed their players cocaine again, and Wake fills the void in down years.

Cincinnati deciding that Satterfield is the guy to lead them going forward is much funnier though

What a shitty hire
you know what u don't hear? that Ruben Owens is looking to follow Satterfield to Cincy lol

lol the big names are currently committed there DESPITE the coaching staff lol.. That QB dad is the one paying for it

That's the list.. tosu and UM (now).. ACC has Clemson (which btw have won multiple CFPs since the last BiG championship. I too would give an edge to BiG but it's not a wide gap at all

Cincinnati fans are a delusional bunch.

Eh it'll be quite a bit easier to possibly get Louisville into the top 3 of the ACC on a consistent basis than it would be to get Purdue to consistently be one of the top 3 B1G teams.

You can't go home again

OSU, michigan, Penn State, and most years Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Iowa are all better than every ACC team not named Clemson. This is a terrific move for Brohm.

Another thing people don't think about - Louisville is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade in terms of quality of life. That city is really enjoyable, and you're right on the bourbon trail. I'd honestly take a paycut to go from Purdue to Louisville.

This is a situation where you can't just go off W-L records.

UNC finished with 9 wins, but I'm not so sure they even beat mediocre Wisconsin or Iowa teams this year if they played head to head.

PSU always looms as well. You are right, it may not be a huge gap but I think there are better opportunities to get 8-9 wins with the occasional 10 win at SDF than at Purdue.

They lost to GT, I'm not sure any B1G team could be ruled out beating them. The conference is 2-10 in bowl games over the last 2 years, and I don't see that record getting much better after this year.

They have only had one season in the last ten seasons that had more than 9 wins, and that was when they were still in the Big East. They have never won double digit games in a P5 conference. They average 7 wins a season in the ACC.
