Of course, Harry Maguire missed marking on Giroud too. A Maguire gaff was always on the horizon.

I was reading after the game England has been run out of last 3 big tournaments by a great midfield orchestrator. Not that the player is great, some are flawed, but the coach trusted him and used him in the right position. Today it was Griezemann. 2021 it was Veratti. 2018 it was Modric. English does not have an orchestrator, or they do and Southgate hasn't figured out who. Some say it is Foden, who should have played in the Henderson spot or soon most likely to be Bellingham, probably England's best player already. But Southgate has to figure it out or the next guy should. England was not good in Nations League last summer. Can't score. Southgate you could say is the English version of Berhalter with far better talent though. If I was England, I would look at sacking him before the Euros in 18 months.

Speaking of Canada, making sure Phonsie doesn't go skiing during his Holiday break now. Manuel Neuer broke his leg skiing today. Out for the season. Fucking idiot!!
