He’s N…that is huge. Also says we are willing to play the NIL game with the big dogs, this is good news.
i'm on the 4-5 win train right now, just because of what Rhule has done every where he has gone. Has to flip the roster and do it the way he wants. I think we'll see departures after spring practice when the players experience that. Although changes MJ implemented in the Fall might help with that transition as good kids are going to realize if they make to the NFL they will be switching coaching/coaching techniques in the pros.I agree with this somewhat, however, I have also heard Rhule talk about understanding how to flip things in one year. The fact that Casey is coming back and that he's hitting the portal hard makes me think we win more than some think. I'm not predicting a division championship or anything but I think 5 to 7 wins is definitely on the table.
time to start the 2024 thread? LOL

Casey staying did up my optimism. You could probably talk me into 6-7 wins.
Minn is a coin flip.
Colorado is a coin flip.
Northern Illinois and LA Tech should be wins.
Michigan, Illinois probably losses.
Northwestern great test for where we at with how bad they were this year and us being only win. I'd certainly hope we could win it.
Purdue - coin flip.
Mich St - coin flip.
Maryland - coin flip.
Wiscy - coin flip.
Iowa - coin flip.
Minn is losing a ton of 6th year players, i think. so who knows on that one. Honestly if CT gets off to a hot start, i could see 4-0 out of the gate.
Colorado, Purdue, Wiscy all in the same boat as us with new coach, we have better talent than Colorado, so i'm hopeful that's a win. Purdue hired a defensive coach and their 6th year QB is gone i think, so I'd think they will be down - hopefully a win. Wiscy is a big question mark - since they retained Leonhard, it will depend were our offense is at there at the end of the year.
I don't personally see Mich St as that great of a team and it showed this year.
Maryland always plays even with the middle teams, lost to Purdue, almost lost to Northwestern and Indiana.
We beat Iowa this past year, but they are getting an upgrade a QB finally and one with some mobility, so i think their offense will be better next year.

Merry Early Christmas - Nebraska gets an OL transfer
The only rank portal players that are re-ranked according to their system. So player slike Collier, Borders and Jeudy are all not ranked because they were 4-star HS players but do not have a portal ranking. So maybe you can explain to me how these transfer rankings are calculated?
They show Nebraska as #34 nationally with 7 commits and only one 4*.
There are no 5*s or 3*s shown.

2023 Transfer Football Team Rankings
In order to create the most comprehensive Team Recruiting Ranking without any notion of bias, 247Sports Team Recruiting Ranking is solely based on the 247Sports Composite Rating.247sports.com
However, when looking at the 7 transfer commits they have....
Corey Collier (CB) 4*
Chief Borders (LB) 4*
Elijah Jeudy (DL) 4*
Jeff Sims (QB) 4*
Josh Fleeks (WR) 4*
Ben Scott (OT) 3*
Marco Ortiz (LS) Unranked
Have they not signed the official papers yet?

Transfers don't have to sign papers, they sign financial aid agreements but those are not binding.
Hope that helps! Honestly - I'm not sure how "accurate" transfer ratings are, they've only been around for a few years. I'm sure they'll get better as the years go by but I pretty much ignore them right now. For instance - Trey Palmer was not ranked very high as a portal player last year - seemed to work out fine for us.
Oh yea, I forgot that.Jim Leonhard announced he's leaving Wisconsin after their bowl game.
I miss the good old days when Nebraska football players were tough and played tough.Or a different perspective..

Call it coaching. Call it on the players spending too much time on Xbox, Little Caesars Hot & Ready's, and Suzy Rottencrotch.
Whatever it is men's sports in Lincoln needs an enema.
