Have you seen the CBs for Duce to UGA? I really think it's our two teams. We have the momentum, you have his relationship with Arch.

yeah i don't believe the UT insiders who are saying we have a real shot.. If I were a TE, it's obvious that i would go to either UGA or aggy since both programs seem to target them more than WRs.. Too bad for aggy though that Duce dad played at FSU and hates Jimbo

I think the way we are viewing talent on teams is going to have to change from going by recruiting rankings alone to one that includes transfers. Has a 4* or 5* kid lost their talent after having been at high profile school for two years and then transfers to one that isn't as high profile?

Ohio State fans freaking out about a guy who was a high 4* CB 2 years ago transferring, but said player could not get constant playing time in a secondary that was a mess this season. That probably says he just wasn't living up to his high recruit status.
Of course there are exceptions but i'd say the majority of former 4 and 5* guys transferring out of the upper schools just weren't panning out there. This does not mean they can't have success at a lower caliber school though. I think we will see some jumping the gun on pushing some guys out too early because it's really a produce right away or get out atmosphere currently.
Using the transfer's rankings when they first signed out of high school?
That could definitely happen because it does all the time. So does the opposite. A kid was a 3* that wasn't as high regarded and after a couple of years development he's a 5*. But he's carrying around that 3* from when he first signed.

Doesn't 247 come up with a completely new rating when it comes to transfer portal players? I don't think they just keep it at their HS recruiting ranking.

They definitely do
Hausmann and Cypress definitely weren't highly regarded players out of HS.
I have no idea. I'm cynical as hell when it comes to recruiting rankings. Kids get elevated just because a blue blood is recruiting them. They really aren't any better or worse but perception elevates them.

This was their rankings of last years transfers. I guess you can judge at that.
The transfer portal is still very new though. Could take a few years to get re-evaluating players who enter the portal into a more exact science

Re-Evaluating guys from lower levels who transfer to bigger schools is probably tough.
They can look dominant in the MAC but once they hit the SEC or B1G for example they might crash back down to earth.
Same on the flip side, just because a guy didnt really make it at a big school, he might still have athletic talent but does not mean he is going to automatically dominate if he goes down to a lower conference.
