2023 Recruiting Thread

Sark probably is going to be safe just for keeping ou scoreless for 3 straight seasons
I know it was a joke response, but sad how far that program has fallen. I remember when 8-5 got Mack Brown run out of town, and now Jexas fans aren't even upset about it. Tom Herman goes 7-3 and wins the Alamo Bowl and gets run out of town, Sark goes 8-5 and loses the Alamo bowl and everyone is ok. what gives?

he's in year 2.. Herman got 4 full.. Mack had 4 straight seasons from going from the top to the gutters

This season is the show and prove.. he has HIS players with a QB he chose. There's no excuses

side note: Sark seems to be recruiting at a higher level than Tom and Mack post BCS title loss.. which makes this season even more important.. if he can continue bringing the players he has, he might okie dokie his way to be here for the entire Arch era.. We'll see.

CBs for Dylan Raiola to Georgia, LOL @ anyone who actually thought he was really considering Nebraska. One is from Witfong too so very good chance of it happening.

i don't blame him.. think every single QB that Rhule had in Waco ended up hurt or concussed.. Feel bad for Brewer..

You'd be out of your mind to pick the fucking mess in Lincoln over the new dynasty if you were a top player.
i get that but at the same time.. what elite QB has shined over there? They had Jake Fromm and now Bennett.. all the rest of the higher touted guys couldn't beat them out? Or is it something else.. Still can't believe they chose Fromm over Fields

I mean what QB has really ever "shined" at Nebraska? lol. When it comes to NFL ability. I'd definitely be taking my chances with UGA.

oh lol.. i wasn't advocating for Neb or anything.. just noting that UGA hasn't had the best track record either..

The whole JF v. JF issue was bullshit. Fromm literally left the field in OT of the NCG with a lead. The D fucked up and let Tua beat them on 3rd and 26. So, your QB just lead you to as close as you can get to a natty, and you are going to bench him for a true freshman that had never played a down in CFB? Bullshit. Fromm struggled, but that was on our shitty OC, James Coley who hasn’t landed an OC gig since he was let go. There isn’t a coach alive who would have started Fields over Fromm.

Then it was Fields who decided to leave. Had he stayed one more year, he would have been the starter. But he didn’t want to wait. That’s fine, but he didn’t win a natty at tOSU. That means he and Fromm had the exact CFP record, both without NCs.

Eason got injured and Fromm took over. Eason went to Washington where he didn’t excel and I think he’s out of the NFL. JT Daniels was just soft and Stetson, the 2 time reigning NC beat him out. Can’t see how you can blame that on UGA coaching. If anything, Monken should be seen as the QB Whisperer for taking Stetson to where he is today.

We are set at QB … we have Carson Beck, Brock Vandergriff, and Gunnar Stockton on the roster. Beck lead his team to the 7A Florida State Championship as a junior, BV won state championships in Georgia, and Stockton was a 5* who holds all the Georgia QB records. Beck likely wins the competition, and one of the other two leaves. Stockton likely takes over when Beck goes to the NFL, and then we have Puglisi already committed in 2024 (canon for an arm), and we are leading for Raola. They will likely both be in the l class and one will win out to follow Stockton. In other words, the next 5 years or so, we are fine at QB.
