Justin Moore sorta cost us that game, but good to see him back.
Yea have to win the BET now to get in.Good for him getting back. Such a brutal injury.
Kinda surpised he did come back though with Novas record. I guess he may feel like he needs to showcase himself though.
Yea have to win the BET now to get in.
Great game @jontaejones
Nova gonna keep being more of a menace as the year ends. Hope yall steal a few to help us.
Not a great match up for us. Nova really knows how to slow up the game and grind it out. Luckily we can still force TO's cause we kind of needed them.
Happy to have a game like that though. Not gonna learn much if we keep winning games putting up 80+ with ease. March will have grinder games.
I definitely think Nova should have won that game. No excuse having all that tournament experience and folding like a chair.
The whole is less than the sum of the parts with the talent on the floor at this point.
Unlike the Big12, this is a league with a real defined bottom.
Seton Hall is 0-5 against the BE top 4. 7-0 against the rest.
Going to be a really interesting bubble case. If they find a way to go 2-2 in their remaining 4 games with X/Creighton/Prov plus Uconn. I think they end up getting in.
100%. Thank god Kam played when most thought hed be out.
Nova with all those vets not being able to make any plays is really surprising. We got lucky. Yall are a tough match up for Omax and Oso. Oso is actually worse against short and stockier bigs like Dixon.
They beat UConn but that was a massive collapse.
I think Providence is going to win the BE. I think Marquette could tie.
They protect the rim and play dirty. They really don't play bad games. And they're schedule is favorable. The others are more inconsistent.
Providence win it?!?!?!
Even with the horsehoe up their ass I find that unlikely.
To win it outright they almost certainly can only lose 1 more(even that is likely a tie with someone).
Big East Tournament is going to be awesome. If it ended today:
Wednesday, March 8th
No. 8 SJU vs. No. 9 Butler
No. 7 Villanova vs. No. 10 DePaul
No. 6 Uconn vs. No. 11 Georgetown
Thursday, March 9th
No. 1 Xavier vs. SJU/Butler winner
No. 4 Creighton vs. No. 5 Seton Hall winner
No. 2 Marquette vs. Villanova/DePaul winner
No. 3 Providence vs. Uconn/Georgetown winner
I'm not saying Nova is going to win it, but I think they'd have a great chance to get to the finals. Use this next month to figure out how to play with Moore, get him as close to 100% and see what happens. They still have a talented roster. I think this tournament is going to be wide open. I think Marquette is the best team, but certainly not unbeatable. This has been a fun league to follow.
I think Dauster on Field of 68 on multiple occaisions has said it best. "Come conference tournament weekend Madison Square garden will be the place to be".
Because right now if this league keeps going how it has been going only the Big12 could even dream of having a semi finals as good as this one. And since the Big12 has more parity a couple wildcards probably sneak in there.
If BE tourney holds serve or Uconn replaces one of the top 4. It will be a bonkers semis and title game.
Even the QF's have the potential to be great. You could have the #1 seed against St John's at noon. The #4 seed against Seton Hall or Uconn at 2:30. The #2 seed against Nova at 7, which will be a great atmosphere, and then the night cap with the #3 seed against Seton Hall or Uconn. Or if Gtown miraculously beats the 6 seed, you have them in the night cap, and hope people show up for the QF. Either way, the tournament is going to be awesome.
After the B12 this is the best conference tourney IMO.
