Big Ten Basketball

Thanks. So “quality losses” receive their due in this system. Do teams then lose credit for wins against crappy teams? If so, I like this system because it seems to be an incentive for teams to schedule better.

Quality of opponent is factored in when you look at a teams efficiency but a team with a weak schedule could still be rated high

Why is that? Maybe I don't like this system as well as I thought if that's the case. So, in KenPom a team can beat up on a bunch of patsies and still be rated higher than a team that has played a bunch of toughies in close games?

It's possible but the expectation would be that you need to dominate in order to make up for the lack of competition. The goal is to determine who's the best team, not determine who "deserves" anything.

I'm officially done with Hoiberg

its such a fucked up season...

injuries..

when else is Michigan going to shoot 60% over a whole game....

i don't know what the fuck to do.

someone once said after the injury to Banduomel that we shouldn't win another game.

I think we have won 2.

By the sounds of it, I'm guessing Alberts is going to give him another year. I just can't understand how in year 4 you have little to no depth on the roster. Who would have thought that 11 wins would be an accomplishment for Hoiberg in his 4th year?

What if I told you 4 years ago that Tim Miles and Mike Riley are both significantly better than Fred Hoiberg and Scott Frost?

Duckboy's Big Ten Games of the day:

#24 Rutgers at Illinois - 2:00 PM on FS1 - Top 4 teams in the Big Ten get byes in the BTT. This game has huge implications for that.

#18 Indiana at Michigan - 6:00 PM on ESPN - Indiana is coming off huge wins over Purdue and Rutgers. Now they have to take the show on the road.

Lol at Wisconsin

Had huge lead early and gave up a 20-2 run, then give up 12-0 run in OT

Looking like 8 bids for now. Wisconsin just too many losses at this point, even though they don't have any "bad" losses.

the one year i needed Wisconsin to be a decent team, lmao.

fuck that entire state tbh

With Iowa's remaining schedule, i think they get in.

Yeah, I think they'll get in pretty safely. They'd be in pretty safely now, and they do have a favorable schedule. Seems like a team destined to be in the 8/9 game.

Ah, misunderstood your rankings

I am not sure we could have played any worse in that first half

4/9 on fts

At least 12 missed layups

Wide open jumpers being missed

Legit just awful

Ohio State is the worst power conference team at this point. Just beyond awful. Maybe we could beat Louisville but that’s about it

That's not even close to true. Cal, Louisville and Georgetown combined only have 12 wins.
