Man CBS Screwed Up Big Time

Here's some more cherry picking reality for you.....

2022 Viewership Totals

(10-3) Oregon vs PAC 12 teams: 14.3 M
(4-8) Indiana vs Big 10 teams: 13.5 M

A difference of just 800K.

Oregon 9 game average = 1.58M
Indiana 9 game average = 1.50M

When touting their viewership numbers, Oregon's living off that marquee 6.2 M Georgia game where they got trounced 49-3.

That lowly Indiana can get similar viewership to Oregon is why the PAC is having such a difficult time getting a media rights contract.

Oregon laughing at UCLA is actually a pathetic cry for help from a sinking ship.

Indiana is getting viewership from playing Ohio State and Michigan, which is fine. I'm for including all of the data points, not the ones that are convenient.

2022 viewership:
Oregon - 2.21M (11th nationally)
Indiana - 1.19M (31st. nationally)

2021 viewership:
Oregon - 2.57M (10th nationally)
Indiana - 1.24M (26th nationally)

The fact that Oregon draws better playing PAC teams than Indiana does playing Ohio State, Michigan, etc. is making the exact opposite point you think you're making. The total numbers show Oregon, even with a less desirable schedule, draws better than Indiana. And it's not even close when you give them even one high level opponent OOC.

Again.... Take 2022 Georgia (6.2 M) and 2021 Ohio St (7.73 M) out of the totals and Oregon drops exponentially on that national ranking y'all keep pounding your chest about.

It was Georgia and Ohio St that brought those viewership numbers, not Oregon.

Lowly Indiana beat Oregon in viewership numbers in 6 of the 12 weeks. i.e. Half the time.
So it wasn't just Ohio St/Michigan propping up Indiana.

Week 11
Washington/Oregon (3.63 M) actually rated slightly better than Indiana/Ohio St (3.34 M) the same week.

So Ohio State vs. Indiana counts but Ohio State vs. Oregon doesn't count. This is why it's hard to take cherry picked stats seriously.

So Oregon had more viewers even when you take away their most watched game...I don't think you're making the point you think you're making. If you're going to take away UGA for UCLA, you should take USC away from UCLA. Apple to Apples and all.
No.

If you took USC vs UCLA and Oregon & UW that would be apples to apples.

If UCLA had played Alabama first week at a neutral site that would be apples to apples.

Your statement is false.

I'm not cherry picking anything.

In 9 game conference average viewership ratings, Indiana = Oregon.

That is why the PAC is struggling to get a media rights deal.

If you're going to take the highest rated game off for one team, you should do it for the other. Otherwise don't make the comparison.

Well it was you laughing at UCLA in a thread about CFB viewership ratings.

See?

I simply did the maffs on total viewership omitting Georgia (who was the big draw). It shows that Oregon and UCLA are basically even when it comes to the other 11 games. UCLA actually had more viewers in the 9 PAC vs PAC games.

Maybe you shouldn't be throwing rocks from a glass house?
again what was your point in bringing up Oregon? because im an oregon fan? ok so what. doesnt change the fact that UCLA isnt that big of a tv draw. regardless of what team im am a fan of or what their tv numbers are.

You are deciding which games count and which games don't. That's the what cherry picking data means. It's especially stupid when you argue Oregon vs. Ohio State doesn't count but Indiana vs. Ohio State counts. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you are trolling for a reaction.

Neither is Oregon.

If Oregon were in the Big 10 conference I'd include an Oregon/Ohio St rating in their 9 game conference totals/Averages.

However, they're not in the Big 10 and not likely to be anytime soon.

UCLA will be though.

Let's all laugh at UCLA together.

Not apples to apples and you know it.

Those aren't correct because P12 network games aren't Neilsen rated. I haven't come across anything where it would show what the rating for a P12 network game is.

The weekly ratings came from here.

There's only 3 schools that drive massive tv ratings and that's OSU, Michigan and Bama IMO. Everyone else is dependent upon circumstance, including the quality of the teams, the time of the game, and the TV competition during the game. Indiana is a shitty draw for tv ratings. They just happen to play OSU and Michigan every year.

its a pointless point though. the whole topic is Big media so what does Oregon have to do with anything? nothing. including UCLA in the topic fine but to include them as if they are going to be in the top 5 of numbers is rediculous.

Who did that?

And in those years they play tOSU at home, they take a lot of beautiful photos of their full stadium of red.
