Bubba should've have been suspended, and I have no problem with Chase being suspended. Bubba went from the top all the way to the bottom to dump Larson. Bubba walked across a hot track, he also put his hands on an official.

So let's get this straight. Say a driver walls Harvick, and Harvick decided to hook him into the wall. Are you saying he wouldn't have been justified in doing so?

Nah. Larson had that coming, his turtle got and not fighting back when Bubba was manhandling him shows Larson knows he was in the wrong.

Matt Kenseth shouldn’t have been suspended when he wrecked Logano either.

Jeff Gordon taking out Bowyer and getting nothing set the precedent

Nah, I just have a steel trap memory with a dislike of golden boy spoiled brats. Hell, Hamlin had the coming, but I love it that so many people now see what a petulant little brat Chase Elliott is

How many cautions does Cindric need to cause before they park him?

I bet on Kyle Busch, and I’m just waiting for one of these cautions to fuck me. They need to make some kind of steep penalty for causing late race cautions

As aggravating as that was, extending a race that needed to just end, suspending Cindric would be ridiculous. That didn’t look intentional.
 
Going by memory, so I’m sure I forgot a couple, but here’s the Cup drivers that have been given a suspension since 2000 and whether or not I think the suspension was deserved:

Kevin Harvick- No. was on probation for something that would be celebrated today and he spun out Coy Gibbs at Martinsville in a truck race. Big overreaction

Jimmy Spencer- No. If they were gonna suspend Jimmy, they needed to suspend Kurt as well, he was equally at fault and suspending for fighting is laughable these days

Jeremy Mayfield- yes. If you’re gonna do meth, you have no business in any race car

AJ Allmendinger- yes. Love me some Dinger, but drugs and race cars don’t mix. Glad he recovered and made a good career for himself. Suspension probably saved his career

Kyle Busch- No. It was bad what he did, but drivers have got away with worse with no punishment, and I’m not a fan of something in the truck series resulting in a punishment for the Cup Series

Matt Kenseth- No. What Jeff Gordon did to Clint Bowyer at Phoenix was indisputably worse and he got no punishment. Handling Joey Logano might have prevented that

Bubba Wallace- Yes. again, maybe address Kyle Larson’s constant self clears and no concern for his competitors and that probably doesn’t happen, but right rearing on the straightaway at a mile and a half track can’t happen. That will get someone hurt. Also, can’t put hands on an official

Chase Elliott- yes. He has a history of right rearing other drivers dating back to his first Truck Series win to go along with a ton of other spoiled brat behavior. Maybe he’ll finally grow up a little bit after this one, but I doubt it. He’s probably still playing victim
 
Kevin Harvick at a 3.5 race lead in points on the next closest SHR driver before the Briscoe penalty. Pretty bad when a 47 year old driver on his retirement tour could miss 3 full races, another SHR driver score max points in all 3 races and still be well behind Harvick in points.
 
Did they ever say for sure what happened to the 43 crew member?

At first it was Austin Dillon hit him, then it was Austin Dillon didn’t hit him, but I never heard them say what actually happened. I’m confident Dillon didn’t hit him, since that would have definitely been an interference penalty. I’m guess Jones hit him, but I guess this will be one of those things we’ll never really know for sure what happened
