I think most of his yards came on a few chunk runs in the 1st half though. Then they tried that slow developing shit with him and it did not work at all.

Don't talk to ATF about chunk plays -- those plays don't count to him.

Ryan Day's play calling in that game was fireable, i'll stand behind that.

Constant WR screens that had not worked all season, and trying a bunch of goofy slow developing handoffs, which also never worked all year, some with a fucking LB they had just recently moved back to RB. Criminal. It's like Day was playing not to lose in a game he was losing in the 2nd half. Idiot kept "trustingh the defense" when it was proven time and time again the defense could not be trusted as well.

The hope is that Day is TRULY giving up the majority of play calling duties to Hartline.

The defensive game plan was just as egregious as the offensive game plan. Coming into the OSU game -- Michigan's offense had ZERO plays a 40 or more yards for the year. Zero. The fact OSU's game plan on defense was to leave their secondary on an island and sticking everyone within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage was brutal.

Force Michigan to go on long drives and force them into FG's like SO MANY OTHER TEAMS did last year. Our FG kicker had 36 attempts last year. OSU took that option out with their defensive game plan.

He had that 24 yard run but also had quite a few in that 5-12 yard range. It was impressive, but like many of our 315 first half yards, didn't really end up accomplishing much.

I've said a million times we have a bunch of bozo coaches who keep trying to force things that CLEARLY do not work with the players we have. You aren't a good coach when you keep trying to run things that clearly are not working over and over again. Every coach has their system but you at least have to be willing to adjust some to what you have when that system isn't totally working. Those adjustments never happened last year and it was bad.

Harbaugh and his staff have started to be more willing to make adjustments the last couple of years, that's been a big difference for Michigan.

If Day can't figure out that he needs to and he needs to make his defensive guys start adjusting to what works better and stop trying to shove square pegs into round holes, we aren't winning shit. Even if we squeeze by Michigan.
