"baseball is so much better now"

Nah. I was joking, but Dickey's knucklers were around 70.
Closer to 80, which is probably the fastest knuckleball ever.

Fun fact about Dickey is he was born without a UCL in his pitching elbow. Tommy John proof. Kind of a shame he wasn’t a flame thrower

I did not know that. Seems like he should have mastered the screwball.

deGrom is weird. He kept throwing faster and faster every year, and his body just couldn’t handle it. Him routinely hitting 101 was nasty, but he was still one of the best in the game when he was throwing 97, and staying there might have prevented the injuries that will likely keep the best pitcher in baseball for a good stretch out of the HOF

3 lost seasons in a row now. Mets letting him walk was an uncharacteristically smart move by them

Blind squirrels and acorns

Poor Texas, though. They have probably overpaid for more players with less results than any team not named Mets
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim adjacent to Riverside and San Diego counties would like to have a word with you.
