two strike hitting approach is finally getting coached again in youth baseball, at least around me. With things like gamechanger we can see those advanced stats now. Used to be "just focus more" when a kid gets 2 strikes on him. But choking up, shorten the swing, and getting defensive has come back into style. You can see it at the high school levels, at least for the teams that win. For about the last 20 years it was "swing as hard as you can three times and see what happens" but the pendulum is swinging back towards small ball and getting on base.
