PAC News

There is a ton of 'potential' value in UNLV football. Just because they've never been means squat.

Their population has nearly doubled in the last 30 years. The PAC already holds their CCG and Media Days there. They've got facilities and resources there as good as anywhere. It's just never been tapped.

The Vegas population got behind UNLV basketball in a big way during the Tarkanian years.

Utah was in much better shape before Urban got there than UNLV is currently. You somehow can't understand that though.
Yes, you are also talking about what ? 2002? It's 21 years later and times have changed. It doesn't take long to build a program if you have the support and money with NIL.

We better get SDSU/Boise State/SMU need them ASAP and I would still say UNLV provides plenty of value, Vegas is the PAC's location now for championship games and the Vegas sports market is rising fast, UNLV could be a sleeping giant if provided with P5 tools and resources.

But the PAC needs to be going after SDSU/Boise/SMU right now, get us back up to 12.

Meanwhile, Oregon works to move to the B1G. Enjoy this conference guys.
Lol B1G doesn’t even want Oregon right now, if they did they would have invited them. Enjoy the Big 12 or being a PAC leftover

He is unaware of the term 'sleeping giant'. You said it, it has been untapped. It's there, more certainly now more than ever it is there. Just needs to happen.

B1G didn't want to be the reason for the PAC to die, that is why they didn't offer Oregon and Washington. Now given the situation it won't be the B1G who does it and the offer will come.

Exactly lol he is grasping for air trying to come up with scenarios for how the Pac 12 becomes dominant with schools like fucking UNLV and SMU

UNLV has the biggest potential to be a major program.

SMU without question has potential. Thanks for bringing them into this discussion. Dallas market, already has a point in time where they were the big dogs within CFB, put them in a P5 conference and they too blossom.

If UNLV ever becomes a major player in college football ill run naked down the strip

Looking at it, losing Colorado may have been a blessing. Sure it puts the conference on a worrisome alert, but it forces them to get up with the times and and expand, get new markets, get new programs that have potential and let them grow and become national programs.

If the PAC comes away with this adding SDSU, UNLV and SMU, those are huge markets, growing markets, and programs all with far more potential for success than Colorado.

Las Vegas was the fastest growing city in the world for 25 straight years. My family moved here in 1980, and I think there was 250k population. Well over 2million now

Good luck finding another city that can offer as much during recruiting trips as UNLV can.

"we can't pay for it this weekend, but hookers and weed are legal here. Just sayin"

Closer to 3 million.

Me saying it's population "doubled" in the last 30 years was a vast understatement.

Closer to quadrupled.

Yeah if I were the PAC I would backfill with SDSU, SMU, UNLV and Boise St.. It's not going to be a premier conference but should still be able to get $15-$20 mil per school.. plus the cut of the CFP expansion money.

Are the academia elites of the PAC suddenly going to change course and share a conference with UNLV and Boise?
